But the 8" Heritage The Rock Stainless Steel Frying Pan's non-stick surface started lifting off after a year of being in use. I approached Starfrit's customer service with the picture and (what I thought was the right) receipt. Debbie helped me with identifying the right purchase on my end and lead me through the claim process. Even though I stopped using the pan after noticing the peal, they further took precautions that the defective pan is withdrawn from the use. While the replacement pan is on it's way, I wanted to share my impression of the company that stays behind its product: every product can have an issue, but it is how a producer deals with it that makes the difference. Starfirt's customer service (based on this experience) could be used as an example of how to interact with customers in cases of claims (firm, polite and customer oriented).
Please save your hard earned money!!! Can't decide which is worse the product or the customer service tactics. On a wim bought the rock pot and pans set from Sams club. And boy did we fall hard for the hype. Had a set of Analon for about 10 years now with no issues and after passing them on to our daughter boy did we regret it. It was less than a year before we had to contact customer service. First time was that the pans were scratching the surface of my cook top where they answered back that you're not supposed to move the pan on the cooktop. Funny how they previously identified areas on the bottom of the pan that was the cause and even sent me a photo of what their QC circled as the culprit.... oops. Oh, how do I know this? Its because they make you provide them with about 20 answers to questions as well as photos of even the stove manufacturer tag before they answer any of your questions and they forwarded the photos I think by mistake. And my request for a full refund was scoffed at. This last time was for the "ROCK" coating that was flaking off all of the pans. The 8, 10 and 12 inch all exhibited signs of breakdown. Again, I had to answer the 20 questions and before they sent us the three replacements, I had to show them proof that I scored the bottom of the pan to make it unusable? Because I must like it when the food sticks on the nonstick surface that is now missing..... I'm not mean but I will be gifting these to Goodwill or the Re-Use store.
Omg I love my compact deep fryer I got one for Christmas I would tell anyone it is the best one I have ever had the home made fries are the best we have not stop eating them ever day for lunch we have some we will never buy frozen ones again thank you for making this it is amazing so small and cute it doesn’t take to much room and looks great thanks again Kim
