Review Time
I wrote the below in quotes yesterday. I left them a message on their answering machine. This morning I got a phonecall, they apologized for the inconvenience and gave me an email option to submit my claim. A very pleasant surprise! I will add a note here about the outcome of my claim. "I bought a TheRock saucepan with glass lid that warped after a single low heat use. I tried to make a warranty claim. Their webpage for registering the warranty and for submitting a claim do not work. They can not be contacted by phone, as there is only an answering machine."
Starfrit The Rock Pan is the worse. I purchase The Rock frying pan in 2023, by 2025, The pan was no longer non stick and warped, so contacted Starfrit for warranty. They said I had improperly used the pan by using it on too high heat, hence no coverage. There was no information on the package or online that said this pan cannot be use on high heat. Lots of text on "no warping lifetime warranty" and "3 years non stick warranty." Their instructions specifically do no say you cannot use on high heat. I'm aware that most non stick pans you can't use on high heat, but the marketing info makes it sound like it's some upgraded technology. And they need to state this clearly on the package. This is marketing deception. Also, the air pocket surface traps food bits over time and that also causes loss of non stick surface. This was the worst non stick pan I'd ever used. Lasted 18 months, used not as a daily pan.
My wife bought a Star Frit apple peeler. The first time she used it it broke because the peeler part wss made of plastic. She paid 40 dollars for it. It is a piece of junk. We will never buy Star Frit again. We have a metal apple peeler and never a problem. Too much plastic because it is brittle so we would advise people dont buy this product.
I have had my Starfrit Rotato for years and been happy with it. Then I ran out of replacement blades and the new blades don't work. The Rotato no longer peels. The only way to contact Starfrit is through the form on their website. I filled out the form on September 12, 2025, including the photos they asked for, and have not heard from them.
Bought a starfrit grill lasted only a few months. Contacted starfrit re warranty. Sent receipt pictures etc. No warranty. Got nothing not even to try a new cord or something. Not a company I would Deal with again. Don’t back their product.
