Poor and condescending customer service. I paid nearly $500 for them ask for more money for shipping MONTHS after order was made. I used the ShopPay App which does not show the hidden cost like their website does. The ShopPay app and their website do not sync in terms and conditions. They have ZERO customer service values. They expect people to read through all their fine print on shipping which is unrealistic. No better than dealing with a teenager working their first job. They will respond to your emails with pure disdain. My entire family adores blind boxes and we buy from dozens of different companies. I have never been treated like this by anyone else.
I typically order a lot of my blind boxes from overseas, which takes a little over a month for them to come in. I came across Strange Cat Toys on Instagram one day and saw how they had the majority of blind boxes I wanted. I only started out with a smaller order because I wasn’t so sure, but I am very happy to say that I had a good experience. I placed my order on a Thursday, and received my goods the following Thursday. Very fast shipping and everything was securely packaged. I live a few hours away from the actual store and I’m thinking of making a weekend out of going. If you see something online that you want, go ahead and place it because some stuff goes by really quick. Really good prices as well compared to buying off of eBay.
Purchased a whole set of LuLu Piggy Home Diary set when I saw they had a restock! I also purchased Repolar Magical Garden set, 2 Repolar Day Dreams boxes, Winkyee set and 2 gachapon Chinchillas. Shipping was quick and arrived safely. Very happy with my purchases.
I have been shopping with Strange Cat Toys for at least a year; they are my go-to shop for growing my toy collection. All of my experiences have been fantastic--buying, shipping, pre-orders, rewards program, Discord community, communication & customer service...all A++. They often ofter art toys that are hard to find from US shippers, because they have spent a lot of time and effort cultivating positive relationships with both creators and collectors. There is something for everyone: limited-run vinyl, resin, and sofubi; regular gacha drops; popular blind-box toys, including plush toys. You really can't go wrong. My wallet is empty, but my heart is full. LOL.
This store sells at ridiculously high prices while pretending not to support overpriced sales. I was banned from the community just because I sold at a lower price. They totally deserve a low rating. And when people give them bad reviews, they just single them out.
I have been shopping at Strangecat for years. They have an amazing selection of toys. I have never had an issue with any my orders. They are always super friendly when I have questions and respond to emails quickly. Would definitely recommend this store to others!
I have nothing but good things to say about Strange Cat Toys. I’ve been a customer for several years now and have always received quality products and service.I also appreciate that you can hold orders with them so they can combine them altogether instead of paying multiple shipping fees. Designer toys/ Sofubi are harder to find in the US, and the big box stores don’t typically sell a lot of the brands. It’s so nice to order from an independent, USA store instead of having to look to eBay at international sellers from China where it’s a 50/50 chance that the item is genuine. I don’t understand the negative reviews except that it appears some people don’t carefully read the item notes that something is an open box, or a preorder. Preorders come from a distributor (normally overseas) and Strange Cat is at the mercy of them to hit the estimated deadlines shown on their page. I recommend this store to all my friends and any stranger that will listen. Try them out-you won’t be disappointed!
