Good god avoid like the plague!!! Because they are based in China/USA, they have zero idea of what constitutes customer service, necessary requirements or just basic website management in the UK. Their customer responses are cringeworthy and talk in complete circles where they basically don't help or give you any answers at all and take your money for what is quite easily the worst website builder in the world!!! I would rather learn to code and build my entire website from scratch whilst having someone hammer nails in my back than use these incompetents ever again!!
Most approachable on the market. I am actually in disbelief looking at some other ratings. I have found Strikingly to be the best in price-features-speed-ease to edit-how it looks combination. With 20 usd a month one has 3 sites with html embed, membership, subscriptions, store, gdpr compliant and so on. That literally does not exist on the market and I have been testing builders for years.
HORRENDOUS!!!!These guys are TERRIBLE! I did a trial, and I attempted to cancel my account the same day I started my trial. I thought I was successful at it, but then apparently two weeks later I suddenly get a charge. I quickly cancel my account (again), and reach out to them to get a refund. They completely refuse to give me a refund! Seriously, they call themselves "happiness" officers. That should be a red flag right there. They are a disgusting company with horrible practices. DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!
I used to be Strikingly's biggest fan, that was until this last month or so (Aug 25, 2020). We have always build our sites on many different platforms and found Strikingly to be one of the best. Several sites allow to build out decent websites with the simplicity of creating well done and in some cases highly frequented sites. All of a sudden, last night and over the course of the last few months we have been losing content on the site. We create, post, save, publish and then they are not there. Once or twice the site wouldn't save them because there were two team members with the Strikingly editor page open. Only one was editing but still, the Strikingly software does not properly save pages if two people happen to be on the same account at the same time - THIS IS A FEATURE THAT THEY HAVE SAID THEY WOULD BE FIXING SINCE THEY STARTED YEARS AGO. Either way, we contacted support to see if they could reset or find the missing content which we added. While this process was happening, our support person suggested something and tried it. At that point the website stopped working. It wouldn't propagate. To make a long story short - ALL OF A SUDDEN, we could not use the site unless we added the "WWW" on the URL. WE HAVE NEVER HAD TO DO THIS BEFORE, EVER!! We would NOT build a site on any platform where it was necessary to enter WWW. But ALL OF A SUDDEN, this happened. I asked the Support staff what did he do. He claimed that what he did had nothing to do with the website not working and that it was probably an issue with our registrar, IONOS. We called them immediately and they said everything was normal and UNTOUCHED on their end. They did nothing at all to the site to make this happen. OUR REP from Strikingly (Happiness Agent) did something and did not want to cop to it. We are completely and utterly disgusted by this treatment. Note our website is well over a year in the making. We have NEVER EVER HAD TO USE THE WWW TO MAKE ANY OF THE URLS ON OUR SITE PROPAGATE!! Finally, we found our favorite Happiness Agent and she went through the system and fixed it for us accordingly!! She is great! Very helpful and knowledgeable on their system. That was last night. Today, all day, everything worked fine, as normal. Then a few hours ago it stopped working again. We contacted their support, the insisted it was IONOS, even though, yesterday when the Strikingly Rep was helping us and did something to the back end, our website STOPPED PROPAGATING!!! We contacted support again, again they insisted it was IONOS and that we call them. So we did. Once again, IONOS went through the system found nothing wrong. One of the problems with Strikingly, they do everything they can to keep you from talking to a Supervisor. We have had this issue with them in the past. Some of their Customer support - "Happiness Agents" can be very cocky, but there are a good handful that are good and helpful. Either way, unfortunately we got one of their reps last night that really seem to screw things up, and did not cop to it. So here we are, in the evening more than 24 hours later, and our website is still not working. It worked good this morning, into the afternoon and then around 1pm-ish it stopped again. We are really on the edge of cancelling our services with Strikingly. One of their reps has truly been wonderful, and I would do anything to hire her on as a Virtual Assistant, but I write this review in the hopes that anyone who is considering using Strikingly to really think twice or three times before jumping in. Our company is small, growing and if it wasn't for our good rep at the company, we would of left a long time ago. Please feel free to share this experience with your friends and colleagues if they are thinking about using Strikingly, they need to get a handle on their reps and how they manage their technology. This whole experience has really made us realize that this company is not as good as they might want to be, and that one bad apple can really screw things up!!
DONT USE there are better costing and functioning platforms out there. Do not use Strikingly for a website builder from Australia!!!!The pricing selected does not state US and the package invoiced for is entirely separate to what was initially selected. From paying $72 has now turned into $140.They do not support .com.au and at no stage was that communicated until we enquired when the website would go live. Choose a better provider what a waste of time for a small business to go through. We are seeking a refund!!
Terrible customer service from Strikingly’s “Happiness Officers.” I pay $192 a year for their pro plan, and paid an additional $59 to have an “expert” update my website, thru Strikingly, and paid thru my Strikingly account. They added custom code which needs a slight adjustment for uniformity, and I’m told it cannot be changed because neither I or Strikingly own the custom code. So I then asked if the person that created and owns the code can be contacted to make a change. Customer service just keeps repeating “we don’t own it, we can’t change it.” After over 12 emails back and forth and my request for the issue to be escalated to a phone call. I was told that I would need to upgrade ($$$) my plan even more to receive phone support. They will not answer my question as to why the code creating contractor (employed by Strikingly) cannot be contacted, and refuse to do anything but repetitively sending the same response to my request, “sorry, we can’t help.” Additionally, the mobile app doesn’t allow editing for videos, blogs or add your own section. Who has time to sit at a desktop all day?
Way easier than Wix or Squarespace. I can spin up sites super fast and deliver them to my clients. And when my clients ask for changes I can make tweaks on the website immediately. It's been really helpful for my business.The support is very responsive and always provides solutions.
