Review Time
Sadly ,I am having to complain about the delivery of my wine case YET AGAIN by YODEL . I have before had to do so ,and simply do not understand why it is not left in the safe place which both yourselves and Yodel have had indicated by myself. On a front doorstep in full view of passers by and traffic is an open invitation to theft and in my opinion IS NOT A SAFE PLACE.
I can only assume that the ST is not interested in ensuring that my request is adhered to ,since this is still happening.In my last complaint I said that I would terminate my membership if it happened again so therefore this is what I intend to do forthwith. Please take note.....
I have been a STWC member since 2005. I have been fortunate enough to have had several different wine advisors, over the years , who have helped me get to know the wine which I now enjoy. . I have to say that my current wine advisor, John Lewis, has to be the best one yet! I feel I have been blessed to have acquired such a knowledgeable and friendly person, to talk to, at the other end of the phone , when I need to order some wine. We both appreciate good red wine and with his guidance, I know exactly which wines I like and also feel confident to try something new, now and again! I actually feel as if I know John personally as a friend, as well as him being my wine advisor , even though I haven’t met him , face to face Who knows, one day , I might get that opportunity!
I can personally recommend the Portuguese wines, if you haven’t already tried them , particularly the Reservas which are truly divine!
Meantime, I shall carry on enjoying my conversations with John and continue to look forward to receiving the best wines yet from the STWC/Laithwaites. Who needs Supermarkets?! Thank you John!
The wines are consistently excellent, but the choice of delivery service has been very disappointing. The first case was left 100 meters up the lane in the rain with no delivery attempt made. I reached out to the company, and they said they would address the issue with the delivery service. Unfortunately, the same problem occurred with the remaining bottles, which were delivered two days later and also left up the lane.
For many years, this service has allowed us to explore a variety of wines at affordable prices. The selection is vast, the information provided is clear and precise, and the support is dependable. The staff members, including my adviser, are approachable, friendly, and eager to use their knowledge to discuss and develop different options. I truly cannot envision a better provider.
Smart marketing and the ease of ordering from home. The delivery was well-packaged, and the wine quality is good. However, I was disappointed that the delivery was left on my doorstep. The safe spot is just a couple of meters away from my door, and I worry about its safety if I’m not home.
The app is user-friendly and offers a vast array of options! You can seek advice from the representative if you're uncertain! I've been a member for many years and continue to enjoy the experience! The upfront delivery charge guarantees timely and efficient delivery!
I've been a customer for over 40 years, and my experience with this service has consistently been excellent. From my friendly and knowledgeable wine advisor to the prompt delivery team, everything is fantastic! Highly recommended! And the wines are superb!
