6 month free offer was not applied. They are not a good partner for household employers and are looking to squeeze money out for every little thing. Customer service is not honest about options available and push options requiring a charge.Not a trustworthy partner.
Great unless you need customer service. I've been with Surepayroll for a few years, so when it comes to doing payroll, it gets completed. That is why I'm still a customer. However, being a customer doesn't mean it doesn't come with its fair share of issues. Issues that include not paying my payroll taxes and finding out after I received a letter from the state, then jumping through several hoops trying to get it resolved. They will send promotional emails that promise a fee for your time/services/referral, you won't see the money they promise. They will say that Customer Care is handling it, but after 3 months, I'm still waiting and realize from experience, this time frame isn't uncommon with Surepayroll. Customer service is a hit and miss- sometimes you get lucky and get someone who is on top of things and can resolve an issue, while other times the issue doesn't get resolved or requires several follow-ups and a lot of your own time.
Reminders to submit payroll are timely and appreciated. Excellent staff to assist with account set up. I almost gave up out of frustration with hiring process and SurePay staff came to the rescue. They called me because they saw I was having a hold up and made the process easier.
SurePayroll is a PITA. Lots of minor fees for normal things (such as $39 to cancel a payroll you approved early even days before its due!!), customer service is terrible (ai chatbot is crap and the human help isn't much better), and often what should be simple tasks (like reimbursing an employee) ends up involving changes that inevitably lead you to mess up payroll because it's not intuitive. Regret selecting SurePayroll and will be switching when contract ends.
This is my second time using this company. The first time around we had some mishaps because the CFO opted to change over to another service provider and year end docs were not provided by Surepay.Now at a different company, I have enrolled the service and all has been smooth. A minor issue with an unemployment tax payment has required me to call Surepay for resolution and "JESSICA" has been outstanding in professional, attentive care of our needs.For the price and resources, this company is a good deal.
I have been with SurePayroll about 2 months and so far I have had a great experience. The sign up was extremely smooth and fast. The demo was very thorough and doing payroll each week has been super easy. I also like that they take the taxes out of my bank each week to hold in escrow to be paid monthly or quarterly so I don’t have to worry about a big draw at one time. So far they have been great.
This is a HORRIBLE company. Former Office Manager here who used this company regularly. There are a million hidden fees, customer service is a joke and employees, both current and former, are constantly calling me for help because Customer Service is not even allowed to talk to employees. Such a waste of time. Employees cannot get their paystubs or W2’s through the website so I got nonstop calls. They refuse to help employees and hold their financial information hostage so it was all on my back. And the lost password function on the website does not work so former employees also have to call me. The website itself is primitive and hardly ever works and customer service is useless. So unless you want employees constantly calling you for access to their paystubs and W2’s and wasting your time, and a stupid website that never works and customer service that has no idea what they are doing, choose someone else.
