Swim Now need to make sure they give clear joining instructions for each venue. Because I wasn't give any I was late for my lesson. Swin Now need to have confidence that coaches are appropriately skilled for level of lesson requested. I don't think my coach was experienced at coaching my level.Coaches should have access to the information given on booking and make sure that they are prepared .
We have 2 girls, 7 & 8 who were a little afraid of swimming, but since having their lessons, they have come on tremendously. This is in the main down to their instructor, Aghi, who is so lovely with them and they look forward to swimming every weekend. He is so supportive and makes it fun.
My daughter Paraa has been learning with Abbas for the past 2 months Abbas is very patient with her, Paraa looks forward to the lessons, feels her swim techniques have improved, enjoys swim lessons, Abbas helped Paraa to identify deficiencies in her various swim strokes, working to improve them
With the help from the swim now instructors I’ve gone from a complete non swimmer to being proficient in 3 strokes. The instructors I’ve had lessons with (Eloise and Will) are lovely and have helped me develop massively over the past year. And my contract manager Chloe has always been available over email and phone whenever needed. Each lesson is taken at your own pace, I understand the lessons are pricey but the whole experience has been worth every penny.I would recommend the company for any adult looking to learn to swim!
Jess helped me in just the way I needed to gain confidence in the water to carry on independently. She's a brilliant teacher - knows how to pitch knowledge just right (impressive given she's teaches children too!), helped me realise each lesson how much progress I was making, and had the patience to answer my countless questions about technique. Really great experience, thank you!
I asked for a taster lesson and everything went well, the £50 payment was made, the guy on the phone was very positive and helpful, booked the local baths in Halifax, all seemed great, the swim teacher(Liam) was excellent. Then it was downhill from there. The area manager called to book a course of lessons. I wanted 12 lessons, paid up front. Nothing complicated, just a one off payment. The manager didn't seem to understand or didn't listen as they kept trying to set up a direct debit. I eventually managed to arrange payment, although it still ended up as a one off direct debit so it worked out I was going to be charged more. Then the swimming baths announced it was closing for 6-8 weeks after my first lesson.I contacted the manager who didn't tell me anything useful and then I received an automated reply that she was on holiday for a week!Another area manager who was covering contacted me and wanted me to pay for the full course then wait for the baths to re open, I said no, I didnt want to wait. I then received confirmation that the payment was cancelled. I thought this was the end of it. It is now 6-7 weeks later, the baths must have re opened and I am receiving messages from the teacher saying I've failed to turn up for my lesson.I am also receiving phone calls from the manager which i ignored after the previous calls I've had with her. I am not a customer and never will be.I wish I'd read the negative reviews before contacting this lesson provider.Organisation is a shambles and unprofessional and now it seems I can't escape the contact with them either!Sharon Holmes
Abbas is a phenomenal teacher. He observed my swimming technique and quickly resolved a few errors whilst explaining the reasons behind the corrections. Within one lesson, I feel much more confident and able to practice his guidance in my own time.
Had a taster with one instructor then had to wait several weeks as the instructor resigned straight after and they had no cover. After several weeks, I got assigned to a newly recruited instructor. She only stayed a few weeks before quitting. I then got moved to another instructor who also quit after a few lessons. I then got assigned to yet another instructor who then also quit after a couple or so lessons. Bear in mind, as an adult learner, I needed continuity and stability to make consistent learning progress. Unfortunately, with each instructor change (some of them very sudden and without warning) my learning regressed and I lost any confidence built. Every new instructor literally started afresh with me, with their own teaching style. After 12 weeks, I'm nowhere better than I was before I began, so I quit the programme. Furthermore, there were no dedicated lanes for lessons at the pool. Members of the public often filled the pool and even verbally interfered in lessons with comments. Would not recommend. My experience of their services was very poor overall.
When my son first started swimming lessons somewhere else, he really lacked confidence. But once he began his one-on-one lessons at Swim Now, he improved so quickly and now absolutely loves being in the water! I honestly can’t recommend Swim Now enough — they’ve given him so much confidence!
