I’ve always struggled with swimming, so much that I eventually gave up on it altogether. Deep down, though, I never stopped wishing I could overcome that fear. Beau became the support I didn’t even know I needed. With her patience, guidance, and unwavering belief in me, I slowly found the courage to keep trying.Now, I can swim with confidence, completing lengths I once thought were impossible. I’m endlessly grateful to Beau for helping me achieve something I never believed I could.
My 14yr old son has recently completed a crash course in getting all his strokes up to life-guarding standard with the lovely Jas at Cardiff’s Hilton hotel. In only a very short time he has come on leaps and bounds. I was very impressed with Jas’ clear & concise instruction, demonstrating each part of the stroke with fluid execution poolside. Jas broke the stroke & breathing down into parts in a way that really ‘clicked’ with him. Having been mainly self-taught, these one on one sessions have been worth every penny for the speed at which he has advanced. Partly because he has concentrated far better than in a group situation and partly because Jas is a brilliant instructor.
I feel very scammed by this company. I made an enquiry about swimming lessons for my twins, and was bombarded with texts and calls from several different members. When I spoke to one (L, let's call him), he was very slippery about packages and costs but I said I needed a price to decide whether to book and managed to pin him to £45 for a taster lesson for the twins and £50/lesson for them for 6 lessons going forward. He even emphasised that was their price for 2 to 1 lessons. He wouldn't put anything in writing though, despite me asking over text and on the phone to have a written quote. I told him that was the top of our budget so I would consider it with my partner. We decided to go ahead and then there was more dodgy scam-feeling vibes as I struggled to get hold of yet another staff member to book. I went over prices again with her and made the booking - she only let me book the taster and said someone would be in touch for me to book the real lessons after the taster. This should have rung alarm bells. The lesson was really well taught, the teacher was amazing, and unfortunately I might have been a bit too effusive with my praise because the next thing I knew the 'area manager' had called me with a whole new set of prices, quoting £60 instead of £50 a lesson. He was absolutely insistent that this was their prices and kept dodging my questions when I asked if they had changed since I spoke to his colleague. He just kept repeating that these were their prices. I feel as if luring me in with the taster and the verbal quote and then whacking up the prices when you really book is part of their MO. It leaves a really nasty taste in the mouth. I would like my children to work with the brilliant teacher they contracted but I feel very scammed by the whole thing. Approach with caution.
Booked 6 x 1 hour lessons with Jas at the Hilton in Cardiff. Basically started from 0 as hadn’t been swimming since I was young and was not confident at all. By the end of the lessons I learnt the basics, front crawl/backstroke/breaststroke to a good standard and was comfortable in the water. Jas was very knowledgable and a great teacher overall.
I joined swim now Sheffield 13 week ago, I had no swim experience at all and didn't like idea of a group session so opted to take one on one, which is how I ended up finding swim now. I did 30 mins once a week and by the end of this 13 week I was able to swim on back, float, be comfortable under water and able to swim on front as well. Whilst I still have a way to go to perfect the swim strokes without swim now I wouldn't be at a level I am today where I can actually swim. I wanted to thank Danny, he has been a brilliant instructor and is a credit to the company and it's his skills and positive feedback that have enabled me to achieve my life long goal to swim.
We have had an excellent service from start to finish with our Sons swimming lessons. It gave him a real boost in confidence and ability in time for our holiday. We had a taster lesson followed by a block of 6. Nicola has been great with him showing patience and encouragement to engage him. We are so pleased!
