My main account is still locked and they keep asking me to reset my pin but the account is still locked with my card details that they KEEP using for TakealotMore. I needed to order something so I open a 2nd account..order and pay for Takealot more again..then then tell me my parcel will be ready in 2 - 3 days? Why offer next day collection with 0 promises or renumeration?I paid for the service so pay me for not delivering on your advertised promise?. Who do I contact besides the call centre that can help because its a "security issue"? I've sent numerous emails without a reply. Next step is reporting you to my bank for financial misconduct since I can't cancel my card on my main account because its "locked"

Ordered three items only received 2. Takealot keep insisting that the third item was in the package even when it wasn't. They say they Hve footage and reports that confirm that the item was included in the package but refuseto provide it.

Customer support is useless, unhelpful and slow. Will be contacting the ombudsman.

Takealot once again proved their loyalty. I bought 2 rechargeable fans 14 months ago. After 11 months the one fan broke. I logged a return and sent it back. After a while between the suppliers and Takealot they replaced both fans with 2 new ones. This proves that Takealot is a company that look after their loyal customers. Thank you Takealot. Special shout out to Sinoxolo. He is a worthy manager who went out of his way to make sure I was happy.

Absolutely disgusting service from Takealot South Africa. They are the most useless and horrible company in South Africa. After returning an item that was not as pictured, didn’t work and was broken upon arrival. I sent the item back and they approved the return.

This was on the 9th of January 2026, today is the 10th of February 2026 and I still did not receive my money. They are criminals disguised as a legitimate company. They allow people to sell items on their platform that are fakes and do not work.
Be careful with them, they won’t even pay you back if you return their fake goods.

TAL used to provide excellent service, no mistakes on deliveries, the drivers were courteous. But in the last 2 years these core values have deteriorated. Delivery service unreliable, now we have to pay, they push they we join their TAL more and collect from us. The items delivered were wrong. The notifications come very late, so what’s the point of providing an option to reschedule when the guy is at your door and you’re not home (think, people of TAL). Then this causes the driver to be irate!? Whose fault, TAL and the driver, whose fault? Not the customer. The items delivered were entirely wrong! Many times wrong. What is going on on the floor? I have suspicions the mistakes are not simply mistakes but possibly deliberate. TAL has become an unverified marketplace. I received items where th clearly the packaging has been opened. Some packing was soooo sticky and dirty. Once there was a driver who threw the boxes over our fence, on a rainy day and now chewed by our dog. Did they apologize for their untrained driver’s behavior, of course not!

But to give them credit, out of my several complaints, I have spoken to two, maybe 3 professional customer service agents who even followed through the status of the complains I made. Of those, I’ll gladly give 11/10 rating for their service.

So TAL don’t hold your customers hostage. There are now other online reseller providers and I am happy to also see more and more direct delivery service from direct suppliers.

Disappointing Delivery Experience

I pay for the premium service specifically to avoid delivery issues. I made a purchase yesterday expecting same-day delivery, but instead, the order was scheduled for today. Now, at the end of the day, my order hasn't even been shipped. I carefully selected items that were urgently needed and confirmed their availability. Not only was there no update on the order status, but I also received no communication regarding the failure to deliver as promised. After multiple calls to customer service, I was informed that the items might arrive at the branch by 6 PM, but they refused to deliver today. I chose items that were supposed to be delivered the same or next day, as I needed them urgently for tomorrow. This situation is completely unacceptable.

Disappointing Experience with Delivery and Support

I ordered two kettles and a door sensor from a seller. Upon delivery, I received the wrong parcel. I promptly reported the mistake and was understanding, considering it was the holiday season. I logged the issue with the support team, who informed me that a driver would be sent to collect the incorrect parcel. They stated that only after retrieving the wrong item would they process a refund or send the correct items. Unfortunately, this left me without gifts for my family during the holidays. The driver attempted to collect the parcel on four different occasions. Each time, I made it clear that I should keep the kettles and only the incorrect parcel needed to be collected. Due to ongoing poor communication and failure to follow instructions, this process caused significant inconvenience. Eventually, after these unsuccessful attempts, they stopped sending anyone. I suggested a practical solution: deduct the value of the incorrect parcel and refund the remaining balance to my account. So far, no further action has been taken, and the issue remains unresolved. I am very dissatisfied with how this situation has been managed and will not be using this seller again.

I AM EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED AND ANGRY.
After waiting for more than a month, I finally received the replacement bicycle for my daughter today, only to find that it is missing parts. As shown in the attached images, the handle control bar and the shade cover are not included.
This is absolutely unacceptable. I am now expected to return the item again, after already facing significant delays and inconvenience.
At this point, I need this issue resolved today. Either:
The missing parts are addressed and fixed today, or
I receive a full refund in my bank account for both of my children’s bicycles, as I will be purchasing them elsewhere due to the ongoing problems and poor service encountered.
If this can be resolved today, we would like to drop off the bicycles at the designated pickup point.
I have been severely inconvenienced throughout this entire process, and the situation has become utterly ridiculous. I was on the phone explaining my situation when the representative just hung up.
THIS SERVICE IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!! I would prefer to order from a different platform with better service! It's disappointing because I used to appreciate the service, but that is no longer the case.

This is a warning to be very careful when returning something to Takealot! I ordered 4 tablets, I first ordered 1 liked what I saw and a week later bought the other 3. I needed them to play music and audio visual content in my restaurants. After a few weeks and after many different attempts we couldn’t get the tablets to do what we needed so I returned them. They credited the 3 but said the 1 tablet (the first one I ordered) went over the 30 day return policy and could not be credited. I wasn’t happy with that as I had spent a lot of money with Takealot over the year and felt they could make an exception as I was such a ‘good customer’ so I mailed them explaining that I wasn’t happy with them not refunding me for the one tablet and that they should make an exception. They responded that it was their policy and they couldn’t. Even though I wasn’t happy I continued to buy things for my businesses and my home from Takealot and to be honest forgot about the tablet. A couple of weeks passed and I remembered that Takealot still had my Tablet and I rep**** to the rejection mail telling them I would like it back. I didn’t hear back from them. Some time passed and I again mailed them to enquire about the whereabouts of my tablet. They responded it’s passed the 30 return policy and the tablet has been ‘disposed of’ WHAT?!? A R4000 tablet that I paid for that belonged to me was disposed of? Are you joking? No final notification, no SMS or mail to tell me that this would happen. All I am being told now is ‘Read the return policy’ this is the worst business practice I’ve ever heard of! How can you dispose of something that doesn’t belong to you? I have cancelled my Takealot More subscription and will never ever buy from these *****’s again! I’ve spent over R100000 alone on Takealot this year and this is how I’m treated! Wow is all I can say!
