I would strongly advise against ordering from The Fish Society if you are expecting fresh seafood.
I spent £70.60 on what was presented as high-quality seafood. What arrived was entirely frozen and/or pre-cooked, including oysters processed using HPP (not live), pre-cooked lobster, and pre-cooked mussels. While this may technically match their internal product definitions, it was not clearly communicated in a way an average customer would reasonably understand at the point of purchase.
The oysters arrived dead with plastic elastics, tasted unpleasant, and were completely unsuitable for raw consumption. As a result, the entire order went in the bin due to taste and safety concerns.
Customer service refused any refund and dismissed the complaint entirely.
If you are looking for fresh, live, raw seafood, this is not the place. What you are getting is frozen and processed product at premium prices, with no goodwill or accountability when things go wrong.

I made several calls to confirm the order, and was assured everything was in order. However, when the order arrived, a significant portion was missing, including all key sushi items. After finally reaching someone, I found him unhelpful and lacking empathy. He checked the inventory and surprisingly found that 2 out of the 3 missing items were still available! One was inexplicably out of stock despite our early order. He offered a delivery on the 29th or a refund, and we opted for the refund. We recently moved and had no budget for gifts this year; this was the one thing my daughter looked forward to, as we don't even have a Christmas tree. To make matters worse, he sarcastically wished me a nice Christmas after I explained our situation. Thanks for ruining our holiday.

When I ordered the oysters, I didn't realize they would arrive preshucked. I believe this should be made clearer in your advertising. I prefer the tradition of shucking oysters myself to ensure they are fresh. We were disappointed with the preshucked vacuum-packed oysters, and nobody is eating them. Additionally, all three packs had a label stating 'best before 10 December,' but they arrived on 20 December. The dressed crabs were frozen and packed in cellophane, making them extremely watery. I don't think your prices reflect the quality. I won't be using your service again for items that must be fresh, and I request a refund or credit note for the entire order due to the disappointment. I made a complaint by email but just received a generic response. No one has contacted me about a refund, which I will pursue.
From good to bad. Earlier in the week, I received a quality box of products as promised. By the end of the week, a second order was late and defrosting. Most frustrating was the lack of response to my emails. They clearly don't value customer service, and I will not be using them again.
I used to regularly purchase from this service, but over the years, both quality and service have declined significantly. The fish is expensive and of poor quality, and items are frequently missing from orders. When that happens, you have to chase an unresponsive customer service team for months to get a refund. Unfortunately, I won't be buying again.
I attempted to order a side of salmon, but the order didn't go through. I tried again, and it worked, but the delivery date defaulted to 10 December, which was not suitable as I was traveling. I immediately contacted customer service about this issue, and their response was unhelpful. They assured me they would change the delivery date, but it still showed as out for delivery on the original date. When I called to inquire, they blamed me for the mix-up. They were too busy to address customer requests, and it felt like I was left with no options. Please, everyone, take heed and avoid this service.
The service was very poor. I clearly stated when I needed the food delivered, but despite multiple emails, there was no response. I received overpriced fish that smelled off and arrived on the wrong day. It was completely inedible. I strongly advise avoiding this service.
