Review Time
I recently bought a car from the dealership located directly opposite DZD Cars and the experience was absolutely horrible.
The dealership asked for cash only and did not provide proper receipts or vehicle logbooks, which was extremely concerning. After the purchase, there were multiple problems and the whole situation was very disappointing.
It is very important to make this clear: DZD Cars is a completely separate and independent business and had absolutely nothing to do with this sale or dealership.
The place where I bought the car is located right opposite and the place looks very similar, which can easily cause customers to think they are dealing with DZD Cars when they are not.
Because of this confusion, DZD Cars has been unfairly receiving negative reviews for vehicles they did not sell and have absolutely nothing to do with.
Another major issue is that DZD Cars cannot respond to or manage these reviews because they are being posted on an account that does not belong to them, so the real business cannot reply to explain the situation.
To be completely clear:
DZD Cars did not sell the vehicle, was not involved in the transaction, and has absolutely no connection to that dealership or the cars they are selling.
If you are planning to buy a vehicle in this area, please double-check exactly which dealership you are dealing with before making a purchase or leaving a review.

Rod White" real name is Rodah Amier Al-Baghdadh.Update review following on from my previous post as things have gotten worse.I had many parking fines in my car which was returned within the 30 days and all legal my side however they refused to refund me and gave me many excuses. I wasn't handing over the logbook till the money was in my account. This never happened and they managed to get the logbook changed through the DVLA and what a surprise I'm yet to get my money back so not only do they have my car they also have my money. They ignored all my emails for the car to be returned! So not only do they sell doggy car they will steal your money and your vehicle if you return it!!. they have left me in a lot off stress and I'm still without a vehicle 9 months later..
AVOID AVOID AVOIDI WISH I had seen reviews pre purchase but they change their company name almost after every sale and dissolve the company.I had bough a car for £5k being told there is no oil leaks, its got the right coolant and oil. All false.I took it for a health check after things started to go wrong and I was quotes £3,500 for repairs.Stupidly I went back to claim my "warranty". Which they then said they cannot afford? The best thing I can do is split the bill with them on their garage right nextdoor- ALSO DO NOT TRUST*.I then stupidly spent 1.5k on repairs there. These repairs did more harm than good, they would be fine for a couple of days and then would cause more problems. They charged me more than necessary looking back at it. Instead of replacing some parts they just did workarounds saying they have done it and charged me for parts they did not put on- verified by a now trusted mechanic.I ended up blowing some parts such as my alternator (another £350 to replace by another mechanic) and my diverter valve which was blown by then rooting the turbo around the solenoid instead of replacing the solenoid as they promised and charged me £400 for which I then replaced for £80 by my mechanic. My thermostat then blew which was even more money and they also caused me 2 more break downs because the "new" coils they provided me were from 2006...They showed up late to their dealership, delayed me 2 weeks to stitch the seat which was another botched job.DO NOT AT WHATEVER COST go to this "dealership".
Avoid Thorpe Lea Motors, DZD Cars Ltd, and Urban Cars at all costs. My experience with this dealership was appalling from start to finish. The advertisement for the car was deceitful — the listed price excluded hidden fees of £250 that were only revealed later. When I arrived (after driving 1.5 hours), the staff were an hour late to their own dealership. The salesman was extremely pushy and rude, and the entire team came across as disorganised and dismissive. After purchase, they admitted they didn’t have the V5C document — something that should have been ready before sale. They promised to send it along with the spare key once found. To their credit, they provided a V62 form and even covered the cost, but they filled it out incorrectly, resulting in it being rejected by the DVLA and wasting another week of my time. When I followed up, they said they had finally located the V5C and spare key — but never bothered to contact me. I had to repeatedly chase them, calling multiple times a day just to get a photo of the document. Each time, they were rude, dismissive, and clearly frustrated that I was persisting in asking for what was rightfully mine. They promised callbacks that never happened, gave vague answers, and offered no proof of postage when the V5C failed to arrive. This level of unprofessionalism and deceit is completely unacceptable. I genuinely don’t know how this business is still operating. I urge anyone considering buying from them to read the other reviews and take them seriously — they reflect the same untrustworthy behaviour I experienced.Do not make the mistake I did. Stay far away from Thorpe Lea Motors, DZD Cars Ltd, and Urban Cars.
Dealing in sub standard cars. I bought a car from them. They are also know as Urban Cars, DZD cars, Thorpe Cars. Stay clear of anyone selling cars from 13b Thorpe Industrial estate. There are multiple sellers there but there all the same company, it just depends how long the cars been there. Looks like they buy cars for scrap them get a dodgy MOT. My cars engine management system came on after less than 4 days. Basically the cars a wreck and needs serious repairs. I've contacted them multiple times and they now ignore me. They have no website, no email just a phone number. I've alerted Autotrader and Trading standards. This isn't just a small operation! Walk AWAY. I urge everyone to contact autotrader and trading standards.
I don’t usually leave reviews but I wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t and could’ve stopped someone from having to deal with what I have.I bought a car through car gurus as the business was listed as a car gurus partner leading me to believe that they were a trusted and reliable business. Everything was arranged for my car to be delivered and was going well, the car was delivered and the next day I found what I believed to be an oil leak, which yes sure they payed £400 to fix. However the garage confirmed that Infact the turbo was on its last legs and would need replacing which is going to cost me up to £1400, since I cannot go without a vehicle or I won’t be able to work. I have emailed the business and sent letters which have been completely ignored.Since this happened I did some more research and found some troubling reviews which I didn’t see previous to buying the car or I wouldn’t have bothered. This reviews all state the same thing having happened to them and that they are selling cars under multiple business names including Thorpe Lea Motors and DZD Cars Limited.Do not waste your time or money here!
Scammers, plain and simple I contacted Rod for a Nissan Qashqai. He told me the car is in high demand and that I should put down a deposit. Which I did. On the day of collection he told me the car needs a service. After several attempts to contact him and weeks later the car was not ready. He offered me an alternative car, to which I agreed to purchase. It was a Jaguar XE. Same issue, Rod told me he was not able to procure the car. I asked for my deposit back to which he refused. Told me that deposit is not refundable as he took the car off sale. I explained to him the car was not ready for sale anyways and he just messed me around for weeks. Unfortunately after chasing multiple times, I had no choice but to give up. This happened last year but I am surprised that he is still trading and as it seems he is still scamming people. Please someone get this guy arrested!
