We booked seats A30 and A31 front row circle at Civic. We were told: Due to changes in production requirements, it has become necessary to relocate patrons to new seats in the venue. Don’t worry, you still have fantastic seats from which to see the performance. What nonsense - we were placed in Stalls P6 & P7 - awful seats where we were up and down at least 10 times by others arriving after us. We were 2 seats in from the side aisle - in the circle our seats were in a far better position by the second aisle. The stall seats at the Civic are awful as there are only side aisles and no centre aisles - we do not book stalls seats at the Civic. The concert was quite enjoyable - but the very poor seating greatly detracted ffrom it!
Concert itself was amazing but sitting in the front row was horrendous. I chose front row seats as I have poor eyesight and so being close was meant to be good. But with the amount of people that came and stood right in front of us I couldn’t see anything but their backs and kept getting stood on. It really impacted my experience as I couldn’t see the show and had my feet and legs stood on. Great show though and my hubby loved it!
The booking experience was OK but very stressful for me. As an older person I don't use my phone for anything other than texts and calls. I think your insistence on only having electronic ticketing was prejudicial to older people who made up most of the audience. I can't see what was wrong with printable tickets and bar codes. The other downside of using phones seems to me to be the naive belief that with hundreds of phones in the audience they will all be turned off in time for the performance.
