The fellow who conducted the tour was excellent (5 stars for him).Very informative and full of anecdotes.Good value 2 hrs tour.A dream experience!The ticket process is a bit clunky. What happens when you don't have a mobile??
When I booked my ticket and clicked the link from the Ticketmaster email to purchase an early bird price, I was overcharged and charged the regular ticket price. When I noticed, I raised an issue with Ticketmaster, my current ticket was cancelled, the price difference refunded and a new ticket issued which I was pleased with. The night before, I was booked in to go to the Marilyn exhibition, I realised that my new ticket had been booked at a half an hour earlier timeslot of 10.00am. This was frustrating because there was now no time to contact Ticketmaster to try and get a new ticket issued for the original time of 10.30am. So on the day, I rushed from South West Sydney to the venue in the CBD to attend at 10.00am. When I arrived, the venue was closed and the sign out the front advised that it opened at 10.30am. There were also a number of other confused attendees present, also waiting to attend at 10.00am. A person who worked there came out after a while, confirmed that the exhibition actually started at 10.30am, advised us to go away and return at 10.30am. So I am annoyed that when initially I was over charged when I went to buy an early bird rate, my new ticket was issued for an incorrect time. I didnt even think I needed to confirm the time on the new ticket, just assumed it would be correct. I am also annoyed that it was possible for other attendees to be able to purchase tickets for a timeslot that was 30mins before the event opened. I felt that this was unprofessional, very poor and inconvenient. From a social distancing point of view, this made the 10.30am timeslot quite busy as there were people attending from both the 10am and 10.30am timeslots. I noticed that afternoon when I returned home that there was a new discount deal, 'Tuesdays- Buy one ticket, get one half price' I think this deal should have been directly offered to the people who previously purchased tickets on the Tuesday incase they wanted to purchase more tickets.
