I hadn't travelled for a long time due to a fear of flying. Added to that we had a change of traveller due to injury prior to the trip. Travel department Ireland made everything so simple, both prior to travel and during the trip. Our guide was Cinzia in Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. She was amazing! We always felt safe and organised. Her knowledge was amazing (being local) and she was funny and kept us all captivated. Highly recommend this trip - I would go back next week 🥰
Good telephone communication. I had to change my holiday dates next August and hoped my initial booking voucher could have been transferred from Como to Sorrento. Perhaps you could look into this as I am a frequent customer with the Department. Thanks. Ps All the people at the Nautico 23-30 Sept were genuinely happy with making their travel so easy and pleasant.
Tanya our guide was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed her Greek mythology stories. She was very informative about times to be ready each day and carried out our transfers in a professional manner even taking us as far as security in airport on our return flight. She also gave us times for meals in hotels and a run down of services provided by hotels. She provided details regarding activities that may be of interest on our free time.
Not knowledgable about how to query/make a complaint to Ryanair re apparent overcharging on excess baggage charges, when flight has been booked by the Travel Department and it is not possible to use Ryanair Portal. TD even gave the Aer Lingus phone number at one point.
Gertie was a great guide with huge knowledge of all locations visited. It was an amazing trip and I loved it all. There was a lot packed in and with 4 very early morning starts in a row at the end it would have been nice to have stayed one night in Johannesburg to get some rest before embarking on the long journey home.
Really enjoyed our holiday in Budapest ,Vienna and Prague. Our your guide in Budapest and Vienna was very knowledgeable helpful and patient. The only negative about our holiday was the hotel in Vienna. The bathroom in our room was too small for a walk in shower, big vanity unit and shower. Also one staff member in the restaurant was very rude and walked away from me when I asked for English tea bags.
Excellent travel arrangements, lovely hotel with particularly helpful staff, very good buffet food selection. Proximity to town centre with ease of accessibility along a pathway by the sea. Interesting tours with knowledgeable guides..Loved how easy it was to be so near to the sea!
Excellent trip! Well organised tour of India with lovely people and a very competent, informative and entertaining Tour Guide who made it fun for all and who kept us right on everything. Lovely hotels, great food, safe driving and water regularly supplied on the bus! You will not be bored on this trip! Fabulous places to see! Highly recommend visiting India through the TravelDepartment.
