Review Time
After years of using travel lodge on a regular basis they will NEVER see my money again! It has taken me over a year to feel well enough to write this review little over a year ago i had a child unfortunatly i suffer with my mental health and after a traumtic birth and a sick baby after spending a week in hospital when i was finally sent home i suffered with PN depression/physcosis during this time i sadly thought my neighbours wanted to harm my baby , so at 23.30 one night i booked and paid for a room for a number of days i didnt end up going as thankfully family and the Pn crisis mh team interviened , my mom then contacted travel lodge CS off my email and explained my situation and asked for the possibilty of a partial refund or change of dates to which the selfishly refused both! Heartless money grabbers wont ever use them again as long as i live nor will close family & friends! Disgusting customer service no wonder they have 2*
I’m extremely disappointed with the dinner service tonight and feel compelled to share my experience.
I ordered the hot wings from the main menu, but they were so excessively spicy that they caused real physical discomfort and were impossible to eat. After notifying staff, I had to order a replacement meal at my own expense.
Unfortunately, the situation worsened when the replacement pizza arrived with a long, dark human hair sitting right in the middle of it. This raised serious concerns about hygiene and food preparation standards.
Before leaving, I asked to speak with the manager in hopes of resolving the matter, but I was told the manager was unavailable.
Since I’ve prepaid breakfast and dinner for the next four days of my stay, I no longer feel comfortable dining here. I have photos and videos documenting both issues. Overall, this was an unacceptable experience and far below the standards I expected. This was in Bristol Avonmouth
I stay at this hotel regularly but on my recent two visits I had a poor experience with a member of staff who behaved in a unprofessional manner constantly questioning and heckling me at every moment he saw me. The heaters were locked and would only go up to a certain temperature and the room felt cold throughout my stay. Honest review rating 1.5 stars but experience made me round down not up.
I am a businessman who does a great deal of travelling and in lots of different countries, the Travelodge experience is perhaps the worst I have ever experienced and I didn't even stay there! The booking system online creates a booking on the wrong date and then seeks to charge you if you try and correct it, multiple calls and promises of calls back and nothing on a premium charge, and then if you cancel there is no refund. It was an appalling and frustrating experience. Stay clear, particularly if you are making short notice bookings.
Enfield...what can I say....when I opened the window 2 sections of the window frame came crashing down lacerations and bruises to my wrists... customer services and I quote as it was a non visual defect they are not liable for my injury...never had such poor customer service and they promised to call me but no just a sarcastic email to flog me off...injury claims lawyer can deal with them for me they had a prefect chance to resolve the matter and chose arrogance over customer safety
We’re currently staying at the Eastleigh Travelodge whilst visiting friends. We have a well behaved golden retriever. We paid an additional £20 which is fair enough. The room is large and clean - great for an overnight stay.
My 3 star rating is the breakfast arrangements. Next door is a Harvester restaurant. We checked online to see if they accept dogs. They do! We can’t leave our dog in the room alone so we brought him with us when we came in for breakfast at 9am. But dogs aren’t allowed in the Harvester until 12pm! So when you have a hotel next door that accepts dogs, what are guests expected to do for breakfast? We had to leave ours in the car while we gulped down something to eat.
Come on guys - a bit of communication would be really great and would make all the difference between us returning again.
We have just stayed at the one in morcambe very noisy hotel people shouting out side of windows all night people banging and shouting in hotel a loud extractor fan noise going all night was told about work going on out side couldn’t complain as every time we went down no one at reception no body was there when we left spoke to customer service very rude and was told basically there not willing to look into this we got your money so do one
I booked a fully flexible stay for 7 days for business purposes, but only stayed for 2 nights and left late on the third day, owing 3 nights. I've been charged the full amount and have received no response to my inquiries after 10 days. I cannot claim the full amount as expenses, leaving me to cover the balance myself. The service was appalling. While the hotel was adequately clean and the staff were decent, the low prices are misleading; this company is quite disappointing. Their ‘customer service’ line is a premium rate, and I've spent £30 trying to reach someone knowledgeable. My last resort is now Money Claim Online. Update: I finally managed to speak to someone. It turns out that when I checked out, the reception failed to update my booking, which they claim is my responsibility. So, the term 'fully flexible' doesn’t actually mean that. Refunds are not an option. The customer service agent I spoke with was rude, accused me of dishonesty, and blamed me for the situation. My only option left is Money Claim Online.
I feel compelled to share my experience to caution any families considering this hotel for a special occasion: DO NOT TRUST THEM. We reserved a family room back in November specifically for New Year's Eve to enjoy the fireworks, paying nearly £270. The Experience: We arrived at 12:00 PM on December 31st for check-in, only to be informed that our room wasn't ready, so we left our luggage and were told to come back later. When we returned at 10:00 PM to rest before the event, the front desk agent informed us that the hotel was full and our room had been given away, despite our confirmed booking and our bags being in their lobby. The "Solution": They suggested relocating us to a hotel at London City Airport. However, at 10:00 PM on New Year's Eve, with road closures and heavy crowds, this was not feasible. The Result: We found ourselves stranded in Central London without accommodation, forced to abandon our plans and take a late train back home, completely ruining the family holiday we had been planning for months. Post-Stay Service: It has been over a week since I submitted a formal complaint regarding this breach of contract and the "loss of enjoyment" experienced, and the company has completely ignored my emails. If you value your holiday, steer clear of this hotel. They will take your money, sell your room to someone else, and leave you without a place to stay.
I reserved my accommodation well ahead of time, but the system wouldn't let me change my room. I reached out to customer support, and they responded with an email directing me to select my room, even though I had already mentioned I tried that. Do they not pay attention to their emails? I'm planning to cancel and choose a different option, as it seems much easier and friendlier.
