Hello, The purpose of writing this review is to educate everyone please consider applying to the airline directly rather than getting scammed here.initially while applying through them I felt things were easy and they were supportive for 5 months I was continuously following up the process by sending them emails. The response I got from them is airline is not responding and they are preparing for some cases. Last 2 months I had absolutely no response whatsoever and eventually, I chose to contact the airline myself to see what was happening to my surprise, I received an email to support their case if not they would close my case and send me an invoice which I have to pay. Later when I told I had contacted the airline and told them to close the case, suddenly the tone of their email exchanges changed and it more to pressure me to pay them for unnecessary They sent me an invoice of 165 euros as their share of compensation within 3 weeks which they never managed to get by themselves.And it's not certain that I will receive it either from the airline.I would have had no problem giving them the share if they had done their part properly but now it's more like I am being threatened to pay them as I accepted the terms and conditions and on top of that their website was under cyber attack my sensitive information was impacted for which I should hold them accountable for.the way these companies work is they take your information and they get compensated from your entitled compensation and if things go the other way they sit and charge you as you enrolled for their service which the terms and conditions are not clearly stated anywhere.I won't recommend using this service ever it's much easier to get things done on your own as they act as if they care but now suddenly from fighting with the airline, it's the fight with me as they want to pressure me using different tactics without getting anything from them.It is unwanted stress that i signed up for unknowingly
I found the travelrefund service after having a British Airways flight cancelled on the way to the airport which caused significant issues for work. I read favourable reviews but being based in London and having dealt with BA for many years my hopes were limited. I joined the website, submitted my claim, ticket details and account numbers in case of any reimbursement. Subsequently I was asked a couple more questions which I completed online and lord an behold I received a claim amount beyond the value of the ticket of Eur175 which I thought was a miraculous achievement. Would I use the service again....100%, I though my chances of success were 10%. Really great service and easy to use. A big thank you.
Almost a year, and all they did was send letters to the airline company (if what they said is even true, not like you get proof). This tells me that they're only willing to put in minimal effort. If that wins your money, great. If it doesn't, they won't bother pursuing the case at the court. It's actually infuriating that you can't even go to a different company, because if another company gets you a refund, Travelrefund will demand you pay for their share too. I really, really wish I didn't go with them. I will change the review if there's a positive update.
It’s been nearly a year, and I’m still waiting for a final decision with no end in sight. Despite repeatedly emailing to check on the status, all I get back is the vague response that it’s ‘in court’—no timeline, no details, nothing. The complete lack of transparency is incredibly frustrating.Is this a SCAM?the website was down for a few days and now my profile is not showing the informationa that was submited..
After 1 year and a few months, with this company having a lot of back and forth, saying that they were pursuing my case they ended up closing it today saying simply that they cannot pursue this case further and therefore I will not receive any compensation from the airliner although I am 100% entitled to it. I will pursue my compensation with another company and I DO NOT RECOMMEND TRAVEL REFUND.
