I have booked a hotel reservation in Dubai for a 5 days holidays, unfortunately the current issue in the middle east made this journey impossible and when I requested Trivago to cancel my stay and refund , they acted immediately and informed me that a refund is issued and communicated me very well as well. Thank you Trivago, you are trustworthy and honest.

We booked a two week stay at a well known resort in Mexico. The price seemed too good to be true but the resort address and pictures were all exactly like the ones from the resort site and we believed Trivago Deals should be an honest company. When we checked a few days before with our "voucher" the resort said we had no reservation. We made probably 20 calls in 3 days for them to resolve and about that many emails. They never did get our room fixed. Fortunately they did refund our money but the week of vacation leading into our stay booked through them was practically ruined trying to fix their error.

I booked a six-night stay at Rixos Marina Hotel in Abu Dhabi through Trivago Deals. When I contacted the hotel directly in advance, they confirmed that no reservation exists in their system.
I provided all available details:
Trivago booking reference
Guest names
Arrival dates
Room type
Board basis
Despite this, the hotel was unable to locate any booking under my name.
I have contacted Trivago Deals multiple times by phone and opened several support tickets. All calls are answered and I am repeatedly told that the issue is being escalated and that I will be provided with a hotel confirmation number that I can share with the hotel. However, this has now been going on for several days, and no confirmation number has been provided. I do not understand why it should take days to resolve such a basic and urgent issue for a paid reservation.
What is even more concerning is that I have three holidays booked through Trivago Deals with a total value of over £5,500. Due to the unresolved issue with my first booking, I am now seeking to cancel the other two holidays, as I can no longer trust or rely on this company to ensure that those reservations are actually confirmed.
This is a very large expense, and I strongly advise others to use reliable booking platforms or book directly with hotels rather than using Trivago Deals. I will certainly not be using Trivago Deals again.

I would like someone from Trivago Deals to contact me urgently and resolve this matter!!

Horrible. Scam site. Do not book. I booked a king bed for New Years Eve, might have saved 40$ booking with this scam of a business. I arrived to hotel who had booked a room with 2 doubles and no record that I paid extra for the upgraded king. Ruined the evening. Customer service was useless and would send out the same generic email stating they apologize for the delay but that they were looking in to it… for over a month. I received a total of 24 of these identical emails from “Anton”. Nothing was ever compensated or even explained. Infuriating.

I booked Swissotel Al Maqam in Makkah, Saudi Arabia through trivago DEALS for the period 9–13 November 2025, and received a booking confirmation that clearly showed my correct name for the reservation.

After a long and exhausting international flight, I arrived at the hotel in the early hours of 10 November 2025, just after midnight, with my wife and son, expecting a 4-night stay. Instead, I was told at reception that my reservation could not be found under my name. The hotel then stated and provided evidence that the booking existed but under a different first name, while my surname and all other booking details were identical to my confirmation.

Despite explaining that this was clearly an administrative error and that the confirmation issued by trivago DEALS showed my correct name, the hotel refused to honour the booking unless I made an additional payment for the first night. Left with no alternative at that hour, physically exhausted and travelling with family, I was forced to pay again.

The following day, the hotel confirmed the issue was resolved and that no further payment was required for the remaining nights, proving the original booking was valid.

Since then, trivago DEALS is trying to wash their hands away of the issue under case number 11513974, stating they cannot issue a refund because the hotel refuses to provide written verification. This is unacceptable. Customers should not be penalised or out of pocket due to errors between a booking platform and its hotel partner.

This experience demonstrates poor customer protection, lack of accountability, and weak partner management. Once payment is taken, trivago DEALS offers little support when something goes wrong.

I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when booking through trivago DEALS — especially for important trips. If an issue arises, you may be left stranded and forced to pay again, with no meaningful help afterward.

Avoid this service if you value your time and effort.

If you value your time and effort, steer clear of this service and its affiliates. To start, their customer support seems structured to avoid interaction after a booking is made. When you try to reach them, they recognize your number and direct your call to voicemail. Eventually, you receive a response in writing from one of their affiliates, resembling a generic template that fails to address your actual concerns. Even if you call from a different number, you still find yourself speaking to the same unhelpful customer service. I had to struggle for six months just to get a refund for an environmental fee charged to me in Mexico, despite having booked a hotel that included all taxes and fees. Look for alternatives; there are better options available.

CAUTION! This service is a total disappointment with terrible customer support. I lost nearly $600 after needing to reschedule a reservation due to a medical emergency. They provided me with a code for an “eCredit,” claimed to be valid for a year and usable on their platform. However, good luck trying to find a way to use this credit for payments as they promised. There’s absolutely no option for that. Their so-called “24/7” support is routed overseas, where no one can actually assist you. They eventually confessed to being merely an “answering service.” After countless calls, emails, and complaints over several months, I’ve made no progress. I've reported them to the relevant authorities and will only make direct bookings with hotels in the future!
