I've installed 11 of the Turbro Minisplit units so far. They are very reasonably priced, very efficient as far as electric usage is concerned and their cellphone app to remote control them is awesome. I also wanted to give props to their customer service. The 11th unit I installed had a leak in the outdoor unit and after answering a few questions with support, they were able to send me the replacement parts no extra charge and they showed up in 2 days while we still had our technician on-site.
Update: after several communications, a manager sent a detailed response and apology and resolved the pricing issue to honor the offered price. As a result of what appeared to be a genuine response, I purchased the product on Amazon and will update this further if my opinion changes. I still believe their website is bogus pricing, but unfortunately that seems common for many companies. My purchase was on Amazon and I could not recommend purchasing directly on their website even with their good customer service response.This is a review of their pricing practices. Although not alone, they use bogus pricing, claiming that something is on sale. When really they are trying to price it higher then you can buy it elsewhere. For example, they claim an MSRP and then offer a 25 or 20% discount which actually makes it more expensive than if you bought it from Amazon or Home Depot or other places. I know we’re all used to this, but it’s just dishonest. It also is something that everyone should know because buying directly from them will cost you money, including shipping costs and other things that you lose from buying from a retailer. You would think if you bought directly from the manufacturer, you could save money, but definitely that is not the case under their current pricing for that reason I give them three stars as I communicated directly with them to try to give them an opportunity to correct the misleading pricing, and they did not do so, but continued to try to charge me more than the price charged when they sell through big retailers.

Turbro is an AMAZING company. This is my second purchase from them. I had an older Turbro fireplace that I bought years ago and was having a problem with the heat. I emailed them and they were incredibly helpful, trying to troubleshoot my out of warranty fireplace. They made many suggestions and finally came to the conclusion that it wasn’t fixable. When I told them I was going to order a new one, they offered a discount with the purchase. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people who know how to take care of their customers. I am a customer for life!
Updated: 2/9/26 The correct remote was finally sent to me. Issue resolved!Bought a fireplace unit a few years ago. This Jan 2025, the remote to the unit stopped working.This unit itself still works, however when we went to use Jan 2025, the remote no longer worked. I saw a few other reviews that said this also. We changed the batteries and jumped through all of the hoops testing it because that’s what custom service wanted. They said that most likely the remote no longer worked so I bought a new one. Well this one doesn’t work either and again, I jumped through hoops with CS. The fireplace insert is not accepting the signal from the remote so I requested a return of remote since unit is out of warranty. More hoops with their CS who insisted to return the remote, I must take a video of both to prove the remotes did not work! I must show there is no red light! Well if the new remote would have worked, I would have kept it! Sent the stupid video game of both and still no RMA! Called them and got the same spiel, except now I have to answer more questions and send ANOTHER video of the PACKAGING the remote came in! I will NEVER do business with this company again. I’m going to report them to Amazon. I don’t recommend you buy from them.
Our Turbo fireplace worked great but was a bit noisy. I contacted Turbo. They asked me to send a video with sound. Once they received the video Turbo sent a replacement unit to me at no charge.From first contact with Turbo to receiving a replacement unit happened very painlessly and quickly. Nice to have a company take such competent care of their customers.
The customer service was excellent. I purchased a small electric fireplace in October for our four seasons room. It was easily assembled and was a nice addition, for a month. Then it died. We did the typical things; we unplugged, checked the circuit, etc. That week I had shoulder replacement surgery so didn’t follow up with the warranty until December.Unfortunately, I was not expecting much as companies so often disappoint.It was such a pleasant surprise to get an immediate response with clear instructions on how to proceed. I simply had to make a video of trying to get the fireplace to work and send it via email. Even an 80 year old was able to do it!Anyway, after a quick review, a replacement was ordered and is on the way to keep us warm.As a consumer I understand that things aren’t perfect. But, knowing a company will stand by a defective product makes all the difference. To be treated with respect, to be valued is priceless.I thank Marcus and the customer service team for making me a happy and dedicated customer.
When I did not receive my humidifier via mail because the package was stolen and contacted Turbro customer service, they were extremely helpful in getting me a replacement and ensuring that was informed of shipping dates and I received the product this time.
Could not be happier with Turbro's response to my call regarding my Turbo heater, incredibly fast return call, knowledgeable rep returned the call. Great e-mail follow up. problem ended up being "operator error'. Would definitely by another Turbo product, based on this kind of support. The person I felt with was Sky.
