My wife & me had Steak pie & chips. The food & the service was very good. A enjoyable dining experience & the cafe is spacious, which we like.. The toilets are nearby, which is very good..
Went here with four friends. We had a look around then went to the restaurant. Food was very good. We all enjoyed our meal..it was quite busy. Three of us had our meal fairly quickly but two had a long wait. We had nearly finished ours when the meals came . Overall it was good, apart from the wait. We would recommend this place.
Recently visited the tweed mill with my husband we visited the men's department and found that the male person to be helpful and pleasant but when we first got to the department we came across a lady she abruptly asked if we needed help I politely said no and told her we had visited before and she abruptly told me if I didn't purchase item before I would have lost out in other words if you don't buy it the first time you're not expecting it to be still there which it was we tried a few different one's and when I returned the item to the rail which we didn't want I politely told her why we were buying this item her attitude was I don't want to listen and told me I wouldn't get any better but we had chosen another one on the department I worked for thirteen years in retail clothing and her customer service was dreadful she looked miserable and abrupt and nearly lost a sale and has made me think twice now about visiting again her attitude to customers needs to change and if not she needs to be moved to a job that doesn't mean dealing with customers I am all for employment for the over 60 but please do it with a smile
I visited the cafeteria today for a roast Sunday lunch, big disapointment! Although the plate looked appetising the food was luke warm. The beef was thickly cut but mostly gristle with fat and tubes, impossible to cut and inedible. The Yorkshire pudding was hard and tough and the mashed potato was nearly liquid. The only good items were the sprouts and carrots which were perfect. A staff lady asked if I wanted a box for meal I had left but I said no and told her why. She did ask if I would like to complain to someone but it was getting very busy so I decided not to. This was very different to a previous visit where we had an afternoon tea which was perfect in every way.
Had Sunday lunch on 22nd December. The roast dinner was cold. Vegetables were raw and uncooked. Yes it did say al dente on the menu. The turkey was chewy the stuffing that hard you could break windows. The red cabbage changed colours. Rather disappointing for the price. Perhaps the chef needs tips on how to turn the cooker on and make the meal more edible. It's no wonder the staff never ask if you enjoy the meal the rather full plates tell the story. If you want lukewarm inedible food then this is the place to visit!!
Have gone to Tweedmill over 25 years for a Sunday lunch. Went yesterday and it was disgusting and cold . Didn’t look very pleasing meat looked like it had been pulled of the joint by hand . Would not go there again . Staff wandering around looking like they were lost . Then we took a look around the shops and each section only had 1 person working in it took quite a long time to get served . It was a very big shock to me and my family how much it had gone down.
Dawn on the changing room give exceptional service. She was helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Me and my friend were trying on so many items Dawn would go and get different sizes when we needed it. Thank you so much Christine (from the Bank!!!)
