HORRIBLE DISTRIUBTION SERVICE! Not only they scam with royalites, BUT THEY SCAMMED MY PLAN! I bought the paid plan, and they cleared my profile, my music, ALL GONE! So not only they scammed me for my plan but also for my royalties! I DO NOT recommend Unchained Music AT ALL! Please use something like DistroKid, it's much better, trust me.
It’s a developing company. I’m looking forward to seeing them at peak performance. So far the platforms delivery has been one to keep a close eye on. The series of tools currently available provides a one stop shop for artists in the exposure front from free distribution to playlist pitching. Can’t forget the tips and resources such as royalty advances for professional seekers. I’ve released 2 songs going on 3 which have been hassle free and upon issue, someone’s been there to resolve it in a timely manner. I can’t speak for royalties just yet due to my exposure but I look forward to writing another review once the platform is fully fleshed out and I’m making use of it in its entirety. They’re certainly beyond perfect but their execution & refinement is bridging the gap between said perfection.
Matt is a scum bag thief. They are now holding onto everyone's royalties for over 7 months while they collect intrest on everyone's money. When they do pay, the streams that you get paid for are 70% less than the streams that the DSPS says you had for that month. The TOS is so shady and are written as if they knew they would be commiting fraud. I am owed thousands of dollars by these POS crooks. Matt is manipulative, a liar, but he thinks he is smart and that will be his downfall. I cannot wait until he slips up and gets caught doing something illegal. It is only a matter of time. Zero out of 5 stars. edit: What are you talking about botted plays? Again, Our issue had nothing to do with bots. There you go getting our situation mixed up with another customer that you have done wrong.
Unchained offers an exceptional music distribution platform, comparable to the best in the industry such as DistroKid, TuneCore etc. With a user-friendly interface and intuitive features, Unchained simplifies the process of uploading music for artists. The diversity of services offered, the speed of distribution and responsive customer support make Unchained an essential choice. There is also a free version aimed at introducing beginners. For musicians looking to share their art effectively, Unchained fully deserves its 5 stars.
I researched Music distributors for weeks straight. I was excited finding out about these guys, but skeptical, and perhaps didn't trust my own judgement. Unchained claims to have an innovative model where they can offer free music distribution, forever, as long as we relinquish our first $30 in royalties. This I was told, meant over 220 stores, including YouTube contentID once we pass upload requirements. On a hunch that it would not in fact work out like that, I emailed them before starting, SEVERAL emails to customer service to clarify the meaning of all this, namely, if it included contentID. After days of waiting, they simply bounced me back to their FAQ page riddled with grammar errors. I studied it closely. I asked them if ContentID was included, and they lied through omission by being cute in a word game, by saying not at first but as long as I passed 3 uploads requirement. It was clearly the time to tell me "it will cost money" and they opted to let it be interrupted as it would be free. I passed those requirements. They later claimed this meant albums, not songs. It's not even relevant at this point, because when I clearly had asked them if it was included as free, they didn't tell me it was part of a paid move until days later after my album launched. Classic bait-and-switch? They sprung that on me after 30+ emails back and forth with them, and 5 attempts to launch my album with their buggy interface. The CEO told me post-hoc that they were having problems with the third party vendor that operates ContentID for them, and that they would need to make it a paid service. But that conflicts with "free forever" listed on their website, as well, me asking "is contentID a free service?" and them deliberately not telling me then, that no, it is not in fact a free service. I didn't just run to TrustPilot, I asked them over and over again to clarify what my misunderstanding was of the appearance that they roped me in, and how they could make it right, and they offered me an insulting year free which I begrudgingly did take, when I had already effectively been told it was free for life. I emailed with them trying to work with them over all this, offered to help them market the site, etc. I didn't want to be an entitled kind of person, and really wanted to see them take higher ground on this. Alas, the CEO refused to own up to the companies' error in effectively telling me ContentID was free, and instead seemingly was slippery about it in emails back to me. (Slippery like, trying to quote me out of context, not answering my question etc.)
