I initially looked into Unimeal last year but never proceeded with a subscription. The last communication I received from them was on 4 July 2025, outlining pricing for a first month. I did not move forward, was never actively using any meal plan, and no money was ever taken from my account after that.
Out of nowhere, I woke up on a Sunday morning to find $46 deducted from my account without any recent notification, reminder, or active engagement from me. I have not received services, meal plans, or any ongoing support that would justify this charge.
I have now contacted them requesting a full refund and immediate cancellation. Taking money without clear ongoing consent or recent communication is unacceptable.
Based on my experience, I would advise others to be very cautious and carefully review any subscription terms before entering payment details.
These people are unbelievable. Once you enroll, they’re like an octopus. They won’t let you go. Continuous AI generated nonsense about keeping you tied to their plan and refusing to refund your money even if you’ve only been involved in it for one or two days. They’re despicable.

Then suddenly a couple of days ago I was charged once again and immediately contacted customer service for a refund.
I explained what had happened and that I cancelled ages ago and have not used the app since, got no app notification, no emails which I thought was because I had cancelled.
They came back trying to offer me different options to a refund but I made it clear all I would like is a refund as I don't have $117 just laying around and I really need the money back.
Now theyre saying they apparently don't have records of it being cancelled and won't be giving a refund. Absolutely robbery and a scam!
Very disappointing. The app is not user-friendly, and the nutritional information is inaccurate. The customer service is terrible, lacking any personal touch. It's extremely difficult to cancel, and they continue to charge your account even after months of inactivity, refusing to issue refunds. Avoid wasting your time with such an unethical service that shows no care, support, or empathy.
Avoid wasting your money on this! They will deceive you out of your funds, and when you attempt to access their service, it's impossible. The code never arrives in your email, and customer service just repeats the same instructions to 'log in.' You can't log in without the code. A HUGE waste of money and time. Stay away—there are plenty of decent applications available, and this is NOT one of them.
