I do not recommend United Regions Van…

I do not recommend United Regions Van Lines, you can do better. The actual movers were generally effcient and polite (if a bit careless and rushed), but the sales and customer service agents are dishonest and not transparent. You will end up paying much more than the initial quote. My initial quote for a cross country move was around $12k, my sales agent (Chris) promised it would not vary much and there would be no surprises, I was also told the use of a shuttle was very rare. In the end I paid close to 50% more, some of this was due to slightly greater volume than anticipated - although even this I put this down to our use of the full packing service that clearly worked to maxmize volume with absurd amounts of packaging and half empty boxes. The remaining addional costs were random new fees that were not in the quote and never discussed, plus the insistence that a $2k shuttle was needed (at the last minute, despite them knowing the address for 3 months). I remain highly skeptical that the shuttle was needed, and suspect this is an intentional part of their strategy to low-ball the estimate and then maximize extras. By the end it felt like a scam. They will argue everything was in the contract, but this is also not true with several of the fees they tried to add.We had several damaged items as the packing was quite careless. I am yet to see whether they will honor claims, but am not holding my breath.

They broke more of our things than they previous 9 moves combined, including 3 international moves.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against a Wisconsin-based moving company, United Regions Van Lines, 1515 Ellis St, Waukesha, WI 53186, regarding their inadequate estimation of my household goods, deceptive description of services provided, and grossly negligent handling of my household goods during a move conducted on August 23, 2024.During the course of the move, the company broke several valuable items, including irreplaceable personal belongings of significant sentimental and monetary value. Despite my immediate documentation and reporting of the damages, the company has failed to take responsibility or offer a fair settlement. Their mediation process has been unresponsive, dismissive, and ultimately ineffective. In fact, after submitting itemized details of the damages amounting to more than $4000 – through their chosen mediator – Moving Claims – United Regions Van Lines offered us a settlement of $96. It has now been over a year since the move, and despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter amicably, I have received no compensation or meaningful communication from the company. I believe this behavior constitutes a violation of consumer protection standards and reflects a troubling pattern of disregard for customer rights.

Damage claim filed with United Regions Van Lines

At the request of United Regions Van Lines, we filed a loss claim with movingclaims.net. The damages caused by United Regions Van Lines during our move exceeded $20,000. After taking 6 hours to complete the intentionally difficult forms on movingclaims.net, we were eventually offered $96 to settle! BBB shows movingclaims.net legal name is Moving Claim Services in Weston, Florida. BBB says not to confuse this company with Moving Claim Services in Malden, Ma. The names are the same, the web sites are very similar. According to the BBB, the legal name of the Weston, Fl company is Networld Enterprises, Inc., whose principal agent is listed as Kimhi Itzhak. Florida’s Secretary of State business site says this company was formed in May 2012 and was DISSOLVED in Sept 2020!!! WHO PROCESSED MY CLAIM????? What are their ties to United Regions Van Lines, legally know as Moving Nations Deliveries, a Florida FOREIGN entity???

United Regions Van Lines has a problem…

United Regions Van Lines has a problem with their estimates. My original estimate, done with a walk-through video was for approximately $10K. I paid the deposit, signed and agreed. A few weeks later I got a call wanting to review my inventory. No video this time, just going through the list verbally. When I asked why they didn't just look at the video, they said they did not have access to it - apparently this was another office. Apparently, the original estimate missed some items, so it was increased to approx. $12K. I paid an additional deposit. Today the movers arrived, looked around and decided that my estimate was way too low. I now have more than one truck full of items. New estimate $18K, maybe more if they need a second truck. I was told I could agree to the new figure or decide which of my things I wanted to leave behind. I cancelled my move and forfeited the deposit. I will also lose my pet moving fee, and air fare. The amount of money is not the issue - the unprofessional handling of the whole estimate process just left me feeling like I was being taken advantage of.I don't know who all the players were, but apparently there is zero communication between the estimator, the re-estimator, and the movers. I can understand that it is an "estimate," and that the price may be higher - thus my agreeing to the second estimate. But the final offer was almost twice the original estimate, despite doing a walk through, a video, and a verification of the inventory, AND they said it would likely be higher still as the new estimate was based on only using one truck, which they did not think would be enough space. I suspect they would have gotten it all into one truck and then I was supposed to be relieved that they did so well and saved me some money for the second truck! For reference, my home is 1200 sq. ft., 3BR but only one bed as the other two bedrooms are used as offices (desks) - rather small, and I have about 200 cu. ft. of garage stuff.I am not a novice at moving as I was in the military and moved, many, many times long distance. I read some other reviews that were not so good, but it seemed the good reviews outweighed the bad so I felt comfortable. What a mistake! Needless to say, I do not recommend this company. In response to United Regions Van Lines rebuttal, I add the following:Your rebuttal states: " the circumstances leading to the situation were a direct result of discrepancies between the inventory you initially provided and the actual volume of goods to be moved."There was no discrepancy between the inventory provided and the actual volume of goods as the inventory was never checked against my household goods. The driver came in - walked through the house and decided it was underestimated. He did not check the items against the inventory list or do any type of item count assessment - just a quick walk through looking at each room for a few seconds. This gave me the impression that he was going to raise the price no matter what he found as the assumption at that point is that I have already invested my deposit, made my plans for travel, etc., and that I was between a rock and a hard place. Sadly for him I was not, and I decided I would rather lose the $3,000+ deposit, rather than an additional $6,000 ($8,000 if you go by the initial video estimate). While you may be in compliance with the letter of the law, there is also a level of trust and confidence required for a transaction of this type. You no longer have my trust and confidence.

VERY DECEPTIVE, ABUSIVE, UNRELIABLE

I had a deep, grossly disappointing experience with United Region Van Lines. From start to finish, the move was riddled with issues. First, the crew arrived over two days late at 9:00 PM and stayed till 2 am in the morning. They seemed disorganized didn’t have correct equipment to move my Grand Piano (I let them use my dolly) and rushed through the packing process, resulting in several damaged items, including a cracking and scratching my grand piano amongst other items and missing boxes. Communication was another major problem. I was given inconsistent updates, and no one seemed to take ownership when I tried to get answers. The delivery was delayed by 14 days without a clear explanation, and every time I called, I was bounced between departments with no resolution. To make matters worse, the final bill included several hidden fees (for shrink wrap that I was never asked to approve or consent to) that were never discussed beforehand. When I challenged the charges, customer service was dismissive, rude and unhelpful.I chose this company based on “some” positive reviews and my initial quote ($5500, which increased to over $13,00 after the onsite evaluation) and a promise of professionalism, and the use of non brokered trucks or equipment. But my experience was anything but. I would highly avoid united regions and move yourself if necessary or look for to anyone looking for a reliable and stress-free move..

Disrespect for my items

Disrespect for my items. Many damaged or broken. They packed things that I did not need or want packed. Such as my garbage in my outdoor garbage can. Some items never received. Items came in more than one shipment when I was promised they would all be on the same truck. Once you speak with a salesperson they disappear and you can no longer speak to them. They raised my price by $5,000 after they had the truck loaded. When I called the company they said they would unload it all in the driveway. My closing was in two days. They had me over a barrel.

We went did a phone walk through…

We went did a phone walk through inventory of our home. We included all our furniture and the quote was $11000.00. We paid the $2700.00 deposit. When it was closer to the move date they called and raised the price to $17000.00 because we could not afford the inflated price we canceled within the allowed time frame. We were told they cut checks on the 15 and 30th of the month and would be refunded our deposit. Today they are claiming we did not cancel in time, which is a lie. They now refusing to refund our deposit. This company is a scam. I wish my husband would have done some research. I hired another company who moved us for $8300.00 they didn't require a deposit and I scheduled one week prior to our move. We moved 200 miles

Moving can be overwhelming

Moving can be overwhelming, but this company made the entire process seamless. I moved out of a two-bedroom apartment into a house across town, and I was initially worried about how long it would take. However, the movers arrived right on time and got straight to work. They handled my belongings with great care, ensuring my fragile items were packed securely. They were also very patient with my requests, allowing me to direct them on where to place my furniture at the new location. I appreciated their efficiency, as they completed the entire move within the estimated timeframe. Their pricing was also fair, with no hidden costs. I would absolutely use their services again.

First to last detail - the absolute 💯 best!

United Regions has moved me and my belongings twice. From the first contact by phone to the delivery of my things - EVERY CONTACT PERSON was knowledgeable, polite, personable, willing to answer any questions, took time with my particular request - and made both my moves pleasurable, quick and efficient. In particular, Vlad and Russell - the two gentlemen who picked up my belongings and then delivered them - were amazingly efficient - knew exactly what needed to be done - worked quickly and competently - and made sure to text me with updates on their arrival time.I have spoken the praises of United Regions to other people - recommended United Regions to people who are moving - and will continue to do so.And an especially heartfelt "Thank you!" to Vlad and Russell who delivered my possessions on February 23, 2025!!!!
