I strongly advise anyone considering Square to think twice before trusting them with your business funds. Square has withheld my money for an unreasonable amount of time without providing a proper explanation or resolution, causing significant disruptions to my operations and unnecessary stress.When I reached out to support, the responses were vague, unhelpful, and repetitive, often pushing me in circles instead of resolving the issue. Despite being a legitimate business with verifiable transactions, Square treated me like a risk while holding onto my hard-earned money.No company that claims to support small businesses should be allowed to freeze payouts indefinitely, especially without transparent communication or a clear timeline for release. What should have been a convenient payment processor turned into a nightmare that put my business and clients at risk.Square may advertise itself as being business-friendly, but my experience shows otherwise. Their practices regarding fund withholding seem unfair, unprofessional, and even harmful to entrepreneurs who rely on a steady cash flow.
So far, our experience with Square has been smooth and reliable. We haven’t encountered any issues, and everything has worked as expected. We're currently exploring additional features to better tailor the platform to our business needs.
We chose to to with SQ, just to be able to accept credit cards at a vendor table for an event. That was ONE yr ago. Now we maintain our sales & inventory, use invoicing, take other forms of payment, and can send receipts all with one app on multiple devices. This week we hosted our event and we took payment at multiple stations using SQ and it's devices. It was "MORE THAN HELPFUL!!" at this event. We are grateful everything worked.
