We worked with Sebastian Rojas at Costa Rican Vacations for a last minute change in our travel plans for our anniversary. We were amazed that he could help us plan our vacation in less than 24 hours departure. He listened to what we wanted to do and made great recommendations for where to go and stay along with excursions and transportation. It was the most enjoyable and relaxing vacation. They emailed us during the vacation to make sure all was going well and as planned. It was so nice to have that type of service. I look forward to working with them again in the future.

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and I had no idea where to go or how to arrange to get there. I was contacted by Anastasia of Costa Rican Vacations by phone and suddenly all of my confusion disappeared. I simply told her what we wanted to do in Costa Rica, and she found us hotels as well as transportation from the minute we arrived at Liberia Airport as well as for every activity we did and area we stayed in. It was flawless. We were contacted while on vacation to see how things were going and if we were having any problems. If I needed help, I knew it was simply an e-mail message or a phone call away. I definitely will travel with Costa Rican Vacations again.
CR has a lot of nature to see, so there is a lot of hiking that is available...you can hike and hike, and there will be still more to do. So think about how much hiking you want to do. Food: it’s fresh, real, and delicious! Keep in mind that 10% service charge is already included in your bill. Those that provide touring or transportation, always tip! Be sure to visit a coffee/sugar cane/cocoa farm to learn about how CRians produce, plus sample these goodies! The country is beautiful, and the people are humble and friendly! Be sure to take the time to visit the Caribbean side for a truly local experience!

First I wish to thank Amy who patiently helped us plan the excursion and Pilar, who was there for us during the trip, for their support and advice. Since this was our first trip to Costa Rica we chose to spoil ourselves by taking the expensive way, where the company booked everything for us. In general, the trip went very well: the drivers who took us from point A to point B were professional, punctual and friendly, the hotels were expensive but top quality, the tours recommended for us were fun and the guides were professional..Everything worked according to schedule. We had a hiccup with one of our hotels, but, in the end, Costa Rican Vacations made things right for us. If you have a chance, do visit Costa Rica. It is different from Banff, Florida, Zermatt or Chamonix.
We really enjoyed Costa Rica. Costa Rica Vacations transfers and tours were all great. The first night we stayed at the San Jose Hampton Inn, and were surprised to see a casino just across the parking lot. The drive from San Jose to Arenal was beautiful and VERY windy, so should only be done during daylight hours. We were booked two tours in the Arenal area and none for the Papagayo portion of our vacation. We should have split the tours between the two locations so we enjoy more time at the The Royal Corin. The food, service, accommodations, and pools there were all wonderful, although the main restaurant was better than the upstairs one. In Papagayo we stayed at El Mangroove, which we found disappointing. The food and service there were very inconsistent, however the cocktails were inventive and delicious. We thought the rooms were strange, and there is no view from any of the rooms.
