They are based in China and the clothes don’t even look the same to what they advertise and what they ship. Once shipped, then they tell you to send them back at your own expense but it’s actually them sending items that don’t match the picture. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone!
If I could give no stars, that would still be too many.This is a deceitful, fraudulent company that intentionally misleads in terms of the materials used. The bag I purchased was advertised as leather (it was repeated numerous times across the ad). There is absolutely no leather present in the bag. They will offer you a refund of 10%, then 15% and 20% if you continue questioning. The bag isn’t worth $2… but unfortunately my time is - so they win again. I would not trust them to give the refund even if I did send it back. Having said that, I will report on as many sites as I can.
This is not a melbourne company. It’s a ghost retailer that the ACCC is warning people against. The company is not melbourne nor Australian. After one month I finally received my order and the quality is disgusting! Stay away. I have lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs and also request to get my money back.Update : if you argue enough they will give you a refund but refuse to pay for the shipping back to china. So you end up break even anyway.
Van Halen Melbourne, avoid at all costs. Talk about deceiving business. I ordered a jacket from Van Halen Melbourne only to be sent some substandard jacket which didn’t even resemble the one I thought I was buying. When I emailed to complain, I was told to send the jacket back to China, not where the business said it was located in its advertising. I did check its location. I thought it would be in Melbourne but I was surprised to see it was located in the Netherland. Well, even that was BS. I was told I had to send it back to China and they would not cover the international shipping costs etc. I paid $90 for this jacket. I could have got something way better on Temu. Just want to warn people about them. So sad people aren’t who they say they are. 😡😤🤬
⚠️ Terrible Experience with Van Hallen Melbourne ⚠️I bought a suit online from Van Hallen Melbourne and was extremely disappointed with the quality — it looked nothing like what was advertised. The fabric felt cheap and the fit was completely off.When I asked for a refund, they gave me the complete runaround. I followed every instruction they gave, spent a ridiculous amount of time and money on return postage, only to be met with delays, excuses, and no resolution.This has been one of the most frustrating shopping experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend Van Hallen Melbourne to anyone. Terrible quality, worse customer service.Save your money and shop elsewhere.
On 26/06/25 I purchased from the website one Elegant Cropped Winter Jacket for total amount of $116.95. Firstly it took forever to receive my item, thought it was coming from Melbourne. Secondly, I needed to return my item and after several emaila back and forth with their customer service team based in CHINA (funny that when the company name is Van Hallen MELBOURNE, I was given a chinese address to send my item back to and had to pay for postage. It has now been a total of 7 months later my orginal package I sent to them was returned back to me with no explanation whatsoever. I did everything that was required of me and completed a declaration and everything. Now I am left with an item i dont want, a rediculous waiting time of trying to get this all resolved and no refund! Am out of pocket around $150. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I know i wont ever again.
