Review Time
First night we got the tent we were off camping, only to be met with 22hrs of torrential rainfall and 30mph winds, beating into the side of the tent. And I couldn't be happier with how it stood up, now there was a little bit of leakage the next day but that can be expected and it's safe to say that in any normal weather this tent would be absolutely perfect but it's reassuring that if you are caught out in the tent you'd be perfectly fine. The annex is a must have during heavy rainfall, keeps you dry my only complaint about it is that water leaked through the zips.
Received my extended 1.4 roof tent , last Friday , although it took 2 months to arrive it was well worth the wait , took a trip out in it the next day and found it easy to set up and pack down , it absolutely poured down in the night and only had a a couple of damp patches near 2 seams , I didn’t have chance to weather in which is the advice Ventura gave.I found the guys at Ventura very helpful and they were very quick at responding to emails .No faults in the purchase apart from the wait, which I know was out of their hands, no faults on the tent at all , I changed the washer size on the ones you use to attach the tent to the rails ( bigger ones ). So all in all very happy .Can’t wait for the next trip .
Ordered an extended deluxe in may and was told shipment was due end of june beginning of july and it arrived within that period of time and i was updated by email along the way , i collected from their warehouse and William fitted it for me and was brilliant and explained everything and gave a full demo of the tent , ive had 2 nights away in it and it was amazing , great value for money and looking forward to many more trips over the summer as its staying on the roof until September time now and the ease of setting it up and always having it available for last minute trips is for me what makes it so appealing as i came to this from a trailer tent
I originally ordered the delux roof tent during early May. Owing to various shipping delays it arrived mid-July. Ventura management communicated to me when issues arose and even upgraded me to the extended delux for the additional 6 week delay (originally delivery was set 6 weeks from the original order). I have to say I'm very impressed with the overall design and quality of the roof tent. All stitching and seams seem solid enough and when upright it is really airy and has a spacious feel to it. I have slept in it for 1 night and it was very comfortable. A couple of negative bits: Instructions could be improved and a set of washers were missing - nothing I couldn't sort however.
After reading a lot of reviews I was dubious about Ventura Roof Tents, but we decided we didn’t want to /couldn’t spend £1200-£1500 and had a punt on Ventura. Other than the usual shipping delays that EVERY company is having, the experience has been great. William/Charlotte and the small team kept me in informed, even some phone calls (never had from other companies) to keep me updated. They are a small company, but really friendly people and they do care, but only have a certain amount of time, so sometimes not always immediate response. We followed the advice to wet down throughly before first use and even for belt braces added a bit of Fabsil. First time out we had torrential rain, thunder and lightening…… tent was perfect, zero leaks and i was looking for them (to my wife’s annoyance). We had the annex which was requested by the better half, but was a fantastic addition. I would recommend purchasing an anti condensation mat as the metal floor did get cold but no wet sheets/mattress. At the show we saw other people with Ventura and all had similar feedback, great value for money roof tent. Just placed order for 270 awning as well 👍
We couldn't be happier with our 1.4 extended roof tent and annexe. Although we had to wait a little longer than we'd hoped for it to arrive (due to reasons completely out of Ventura's control), it was definitely worth the wait.Customer Service was great and we were kept informed along the way of the shipment delay.The tent itself is perfect and easy to use. Looking forward to many more adventures to come.
