I dropped almost $3k on a kayak and gear and this has been one of the most frustrating purchases I’ve ever made.
I ordered in December and was told it would ship soon. It took more than two months. No updates, zero transparency. I had to harass them with stalker level insistency just to find out where my order even was.
When it finally showed up, it was damaged. Not a tiny scratch. Dents and a broken seat and rudder. I sent photos immediately and expected this to be handled quickly considering the price I paid. Again ... more unanswered emails and having to harass them for a response.
When someone finally responded, I was told they don’t sell the damaged parts separately and can’t service them. So what exactly am I supposed to do? I now have a $3,000 kayak that I can’t use because of broken parts they won’t replace. Three months of waiting and I’m still not on the water.
If you’re going to charge premium prices, you need to back it up with real support. Right now this feels like once they have your money, you’re on your own. Absolutely unacceptable. Thank god I was still in the window to file a chargeback with the credit card company.

We have a pair of Shearwater's that we bought in 2021. Right away my wife's seat fell apart and took forever to replace. When I say forever it was almost a year of not being able to use her kayak. Over the years we have had a host of issues from the deck padding falling off and being told to just re-glue it ourselves, failing rudder lines, all the bungie has failed (just replaced myself), X-drive boxes taking on water and failing clips several times, and now the nylon on the seats is just coming apart. In addition to the previous issues my red Tusnami takes on water any time its in the water where as our blue Shearwater remains dry. I have many times tried to find a leak or issue and the best I can do is there are tiny bubbles all over the kayak that they tell me are normal. In the beginning before they sold out they seemed to at least honor their warranty but now they do everything they can to blow you off and avoid ownership of their poor quality. If I could attach pictures I would!
How is this company allowed to operate? I ordered a kayak 2+ months ago. They completely screwup the order. My order and the packing slip are correct, however the kayak they sent is NOT what I ordered. They refuse to refund or accept a return. How is this legal? Stay away from Vibe.
Currently in a charge dispute with Vibe Kayaks and may have to sue to get my money back! I have also filed reports with the FTC and the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division of Georgia.I purchased a kayak and accessories totaling $3,000+ over TWO MONTHS ago and never received any of it. Vibe is saying that FragilePak picked it up, while FragilePak stated that they have visited the Vibe warehouse three separate times and not once has Vibe had the kayak available for pickup. Vibe never shipped the kayak and are trying to force me to wait until they "find it" to refund me. Their actions are unethical, illegal, and as a company they deserve a one-way voyage.Do not do business with this company. At best, they are ripping off the reputable brands that came before them and exploiting cheap Chinese labor to produce them. They do not stand behind their products, the extended warranty they offer is FAKE, customer service will ignore you, and as others have said, they also have a fake phone number on their website.
These guys are a joke and it’s not worth dealing with them. I was trying to get some questions answered about there pedal drive and it not being rigid on an inflatable. They talked it up and when I asked about the poor reviews they just started canceling my messages and wouldn’t respond. Unbelievably unprofessional but it made an easy choice to step up for a Hobie!!! They offer good customer service and worth the extra money
I’ve had multiple problems trying to get a simple question answered so I can purchase a replacement carry handle for my Yellowfin kayak. Vibe is located in Canada and there is no way to contact them except through email which they never respond to. Know that if you purchase a Vibe kayak, you’ll be on your own. I watched a YouTube video highlighting this problem and now I’ve experienced it myself. Too many other great kayaks, DON’T BY A VIBE KAYAK!!
I ordered a vibe kayak back in November of 2021.I read many great reviews and others and thought this would be a great fishing kayak. WRONG. I bough a Yellowfin 100 for 800 dollars. The only advantages it has over my 300 dollar kayak is a better seat and it is setup for fishing. Could have bought one for 400 bucks of another brand that would be much better. Vibe kayak is not as stable and does not track as true as my 300 dollar kayak.At time of purchase kayak was supposed to be delivered in 15 to 20 business days. After many phone calls, empty promises and excuses I finally received my kayak June of 2022. This business has horrible customer service and they do things according to their own time line.I was stupid enough to think I would order a paddle from Vibe, delivery of 5 to 7 business days. After two weeks and couple of emails, got told paddle was on back order. I canceled my order.Stay away from Vibe kayaks and their accessories. They are no better than any other vendor and they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
At check out there was no where to choose expedited shipping so I just decided to wait the 15-20 days. Write in around day 15 and was told to be patient. 26 Days roll by and no shipping notification or update. Wrote to support again and got no response. Fast forward a full business week 30+ days still no response from support. Called the phone number on the website and their Voice Mail isn't even set up. Wrote to support again and no response. At this point I am unsure if I was scammed or just dealing with very poor customer service. Will update review if status changes. But if you are reading this I would consider avoiding until this review is updated.
