Ordered a bookcase from here.1. Tracking number was not functional, gave me an error. Product arrived 1 day late (not a big deal).2. Manual was outdated, wrong labeling on parts & materials. 3. Missing foot on the bookcase, had to build one myself and glue it.4. Wood kept breaking when I had to screw the shelves in, not pre-drilled so difficult and destructive.5. Multiple screws broke when screwing them in, terrible quality.6. Huge metal welding protuberance, had to sand it down to make it fit into its' socket.All in all, terrible quality & experience, mainly due to cheap materials and missing elements.
VidaXL is not a company to do business with in Switzerland in any way or for anything. We ordered two carpets from VidaXL in December, 2022. On their website it indicated there was free shipping, we ordered in Swiss Francs which included Swiss VAT.After receiving the carpets we found that they did not lay correctly with upturned edges. We decided to return the carpets. On the invoice we received for the order it stated the address was in Baar, Switzerland. We received no return information so we sent the units to the Swiss address. The shipment was rejected for whatever reason. We suspect that this is an unmanned office. The carpets were returned to us collect which we promptly rejected (last time we saw the carpets). We inquired as to what the problem was in January, 2023. We were told we did not follow the return procedure. After several weeks the representative from VidaXL told us the carpets would be returned to us at no charge and then we could return them correctly. That was approximately 8 weeks ago – still no carpets.Meanwhile the billing company, Klarna, informed us we were late with the payment. VidaXL did not inform Klarna that we had a return authorization. We eventually paid the invoice and marked it to experience.Then just last week on 13 March, we received an invoice from DPD stating there were ’’customs clearing’’ charges due for the shipment. We paid the Swiss VAT on the invoice and ordered in Swiss Francs. I am still wondering what there was to clear based on the VidaXL website.We feel the representatives we dealt with at VidaXL were totally not forthcoming with us. Infact, nothing they told us turned out to be trustworthy.VidaXL is a company that CANNOT be trusted and should be avoided at all costs, even if they are the only company to offer what you want.
I order online 90% of the time and have never experienced such a bad customer service. I ordered 1 bed frame and 1 boxspring and received 2 bed frames instead.I received my order 3 weeks ago and contacted them immediately to inform them. Since then, after sending 15+ emails and speaking to around 6 different people, they STILL haven't been able to acknowledge that they made a mistake, neither have they replaced the wrong item yet. Even a few of them told me that I received the correct items (saying that I ordered 2 bed frames) even though the receipt said the opposite and the rest of the customer service confirmed that I indeed missed an item.Which shows that they didn't even bother to actually read the right information and thus try to resolve the issue. Even the pictures of my order shows two different products...Sometimes they didn't even reply me for 7 days and I had to send them 3 reminders. Oh, and their chat doesn't even work and it's impossible to call them. I mean.... How difficult can it be to at LEAST try to help a customer who invested over 200CHF in your products and probably would have spent hundreds more if you took the time to help. I also asked for a refund the first week, but they haven't even accepted my request even after reminding them over 7 times. Instead, they say that "They will help me resolve the issue" and keep asking me the same questions over and over. The most common one asking me to describe what I received, which I've been VERY clear about since the beginning. Oh, and for some reason the order number also seems to be very difficult to remember. Although they could have found it my 10 previous emails.So here I am, after 3 weeks, still waiting for my refund. And not the least for HELP. Also thinking, is this a scam or are none of you simply interested in doing your job?I'm writing this review in hope that someone will finally listen and take me seriously. I've been extremely polite and patience. But enough is enough. This is absolutely unacceptable and I would never ever recommend VidaXL, unless you miraculously manage to gain my trust back.Ref package: 3120768
