I purchased a vehicle from Vision Motors Direct Ltd in December 2025.
The vehicle was later rejected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the purchase price was eventually refunded after the car was returned.
Unfortunately the process was extremely stressful. Communication was poor, responses were slow, and I repeatedly had to chase for updates regarding the refund.
An extended warranty (£499) was also sold with the vehicle. I cancelled this within the 14-day cooling-off period with no claims made. The warranty booklet clearly states that cancellations within 14 days should not incur any financial penalty.
Despite this, the dealership has refused to process the refund for the warranty. 3 Months have pass and I therefore now have to consider taking legal action to recover this amount.
I also discovered that the dealership is not registered with The Motor Ombudsman, which means there is no independent dispute resolution available through that route.
Overall my experience with the customer service was very disappointing and unnecessarily stressful.
Very disgusting company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They made me lose £100 for nothing. I reserved a vehicle for £100, they told me I will get a full refund if I changed my mind. I decided not to go ahead with the purchase only for them to turn back and say I did not come to view the vehicle so I am not getting any of my money back, however if I had come to view the vehicle and changed my mind afterwards then I would have gotten a refund. Something they did not emphatically clarify. Besides that which of the options above is easier? Not sure why a company will have such a policy which makes no sense at all. Is this a way to exploit customers just because you are a small company? They hanged the call up on me when I called them without waiting to ensure I was okay. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM!!!

Two sides to the story,Roy the salesman was first class and very helpful, unfortunately two days later we discovered a oil leak called up Craig answered and asked us to bring the in the next day upon arrival we were welcomed with apologies and given a courtesy car, that night we saw the reviews and got very nervous we we called up again Craig answered and was very helpful and provided us with documents for the courtesy car he called us to let us know he had sent them which gave us confidence in the company, we then got a call from Jack who explained what the problem was and asked us to come and collect the car Jack also organised the car tax and he was very helpful
Everything was straightforward. I viewed different cars, asked questions and felt comfortable the whole time. The car I picked had full service history and they offered me a decent part exchange deal. Drove it away the next day with a fresh MOT.
Called them to enquire about a car they had in stock they said it hadn’t been sold. We travelled over 90 minutes only to be told when we got there it had been sold a while ago. No apology just an office of very rude aggressive staff. After reading the reviews it looks like I’ve had a lucky escape!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.The car purchased at the end of October '25 was back in the garage within weeks of being purchased, finally fixed on the second visit.Car has now been off the road 3 weeks, Vision Motors final response to the fault was "take us to court for a refund then im sick off hearing you moan".Shocking after sales service.Shame it won't let me leave a 0 star review but unfortunately, 1 star is the minimum.
Okay so where do I start?I purchased a distance vehicle, a Peugeot 208 GTI KU16 DLZ from Vision Motors Direct Ltd in Leeds on 18th March 2025. Within a couple of days I had a service light on and within two weeks I had the Engine Block light on which indicated a serious defect. I contacted them and was instructed to get a garage diagnosis to find out the issue all at my expense. Once done, I was told as I did not purchase an extended vehicle insurance policy I would have to recover the car back to Leeds for repair at own cost which I did, They have since never returned my vehicle and have come up with every excuse under the sun to prevent me getting it back. It is now almost 12 Months that they have kept my vehicle and I am still taxing and insuring it! They have provided 3 Courtesy cars, three of which have been clamped due to no Tax causing further stress. I just took another call this evening where they are saying it needs another part! The aftercare sales guy is called Jack and they want to put me in another courtesy car, a forth courtesy car, which I have said no to. I still have no car except a pile of crap Nissan they gave me which they have now sold to someone! The place is a joke and now I have to go to court for a small claims after they also ignored a LBA from a Solicitor - NEVER, EVER buy a vehicle from these muppets, Mark
In July, I made the regrettable choice of purchasing a car. Just a week in, it began emitting smoke everywhere. I returned it to the dealership, and they promised repairs, providing us with a courtesy vehicle. Unfortunately, that car was untaxed, leading to a run-in with law enforcement. When my husband contacted the dealership to resolve this, they dismissed our concerns, suggesting we dismiss the police. After three weeks, our original car was returned, still unfixed. Deciding to handle the repairs ourselves, we realized the dealership was incapable of honesty. We didn't want the car stuck with them for weeks again with no results.Recently, the check engine light activated, displaying numerous error codes. Now, the top radiator hose has failed, revealing a hidden engine weld and a concealed blown head gasket. Steer clear of this company to avoid financial waste. I regret not checking reviews prior to purchasing.
Congratulations if you had a good experience with this company, you are a rarity. Or, the review is fake becasuse these people are scum of the Earth. There are innumerable customers in court and at war with them for the junk car's they sell and if you return it, well just assume they'll see that as as gift even if you've agreed in writing and are within your rights to do so, they'll just keep the money. The law does not apply to these scumbags, they have no moral compass, no integrity, and no regard for the damage they've done to countless lives. I truly question how they sleep at night knowing how many people they have left in financial ruin because god forborbid you just conduct business like normal people. If you are even slightly considering buying a car from these people, do your research into them first. It's all there, endless amounts of people in court cases fighting to get the money they are rightfully owed. If you're looking for a good way to burn thousands of pounds of your hard earned cash, buy a car from Vision Motors, risk your life driving it, return it within the timeframe of your lawful right to do so, and then enjoy the nasty, threatening, abusive war you'll have to enter into to wrestle your money back out the hands of these vultures. It's been months, and I'm still fighting for them to refund me. Meanwhile they have the car I part exed, and the car I bought. Go figure.
