The shoes broke and had several holes that leaked water within a month. It took just over three months and almost ten e-mails (just to get a response) to receive a refund. But I was given just a week to return the shoes. Would have given up if it wasn't for the fact the shoes were so expensive.

(edit after a very speedy response on this review) Yeah, here's also the thing. I've seen on Vivo's social media that there are many complaints and most of them are regarding slow response time from customer service. Almost all of those complaints have gotten answers saying to try and contact Vivo again. It does not indicate trustworthiness... To me it feels like the facade is most important.

I got a pair of vivobarefoot shoes from my wife, I was really excited about them, they are the tracker ones that are over 200€, after one year of only walking with them they already have holes in them and are breaking apart, nothing crazy as I don't go out to the mountains or anything with them, just walking, really dissapointed, also no warraty available after 6 months.

First, the delivery arrived significantly later than promised.
Second, I received a completely wrong pair of shoes instead of the ones I ordered.

The biggest issue, however, was customer service. For two and a half weeks I tried to contact Vivobarefoot through every possible channel — email, contact form, chat, and phone. I reached out to Vivobarefoot Austria, Germany, and Europe. I never received any response. Not even a confirmation or interim reply.

What’s even more concerning: the phone number listed on the official website does not exist.

Mistakes can happen, but leaving customers without any response or support is unacceptable. Customer service and accessibility are a complete disaster.

I will definitely never order directly from Vivobarefoot again.

In December, I returned a pair of defective shoes and have yet to receive any confirmation or refund. Despite attempting to contact your customer service via the chatbot between five and ten times, I have not received any response. The outstanding amount owed to me is 770 DKK.
I experienced a similar issue in July 2025. On that occasion, after three days of repeated attempts, I was able to reach a customer service representative who resolved the matter and arranged the refund.
Unfortunately, this repeated lack of response has left me very disappointed with the level of customer service. Based on these experiences, I will not be purchasing Vivo shoes for my son again, nor would I feel comfortable recommending your company to others.

(edit: i confused the year when i bought my first vivobarefoot shoe, which was either the tracker or the gobi leather black - please reissue them because they are the only shoes that can be worn with formal attire. :-) Why should i go to competitors after all these years, for that? LOVE from Greece)

The chat service handled my problem correctly and efficiently. Return label printing was easy, UPS delivered the shoes back to Vivo within a few days. Although the wait time for the chat response was quite long, it did not bother me too much because I expected this and could do other things during the wait. Once connected the instructions were clear and came quickly. Now I am waiting for the refund to arrive so that I can process the reorder. So far the experience has been good, response times could be improved.

I’ve had six pairs of Vivo shoes and boots and the soles have all worn out very quickly. Only one pair has been outstandingly comfortable, which was the Tracker Forest ESC. I persevere with them because I have very wide, shallow feet and nothing else fits. I’m disappointed with my most recent Tracker boots because a) the soles don’t grip on slippery or icy surfaces and b) the soles are thin and I can feel sharp stones through them. They were not good value at £200 compared with my previous pair of boots which were Tracker forest ESC. These were perfect except the uppers quickly became scuffed. I kept the new ones because with an extra insole they were reasonably comfortable. However, Vivo reduced them by £50 a few weeks after I bought them and introduced an improved version for the same price I paid. I was just within the 100 day period so could have returned them for a refund and ordered the new version. I contacted Vivo via the AI bot to ask if instead of a refund they’d offer me a £50 credit against a new pair and it told me they don’t do credits for price changes. I sent an email on the 11th of January to get confirmation from a real person and heard nothing. Now it’s too late to return them. I probably won’t bother again and instead will try another brand.

For a supposedly human centric organisation the use of bots is a massive disappointment and, I believe, extremely hypocritical.
