Vodien Fixed my Website in One Phone Call

My website was down and I didn’t know for how long it had been that way. On the suggestion of my IT support team I called Vodien (who host the site) and within a few minutes they had reactivated it.The alternative may have been to either rebuild the website or engage someone to do it which likely would have costed thousands of dollars.Very thankful to Vodien for it including the helpfulness of the person I spoke with.

Sales Misrepresentation / Fraudulent Sales will leave you with hefty costs.

The sales / service at Vodien borders on fraud. I have been a long-term customer with Vodien and initially back then they were a very decent company with very good tech support and super helpful customer service. But all of this has changed in the last year or so. First off, I was double-billed for something. Consequently, I switched off the auto-billing because had it been left unchecked, the double billing could have gone on. After 2 hours on the chat, they agreed to refund within 10 days. The refund never came and I was billed again the following month. During this time, they had also tried to double the plan I was on. I was constantly called and emailed telling me of the EOL of the VPS plan I was on, and not told that I could actually still continue, only that there was no more software support for this plan as CentOS 8 was being phased out. The new plan was double the price and they had sent me a bill of over 8k for a few years. My monthly bill is about 150. Apparently this was because I had to sign on for a few years, before they could migrate my VPS to this new plan, otherwise I had to pay something like 700-800 for the migration. I refused and told them that I would stick to my CentOS server. In August, when I was being billed again for something I already paid for, I got onto the chat again for another few hours. The sales representative told me that they had reviewed their charges just the night before, and my monthly bill would only be 174.39 under this new plan for the new server and I didn't need to pay upfront for 2 or 3 years like they said before. They also said the migration would be free. Thus, since it was only a 25 bucks increase, and because well, it's a new server with updated OS, I agreed. This month however, the bill came up to 212.54. I got sent from one customer service executive to another. One of them agreed the renewal price should have been 174.39 and then sent me back to sales where they insisted the price should be 212.54. They gave me a 10 dollar discount because of the "miscommunication". It wasn't a miscommunication. It was a misrepresentation. The first executive, was very condescending and the second was was non-chalant. Apparently it was stated on the invoice that it was a discount.But no where on their website, or in the invoice does it state that it's a one-off charge. Discount or not. Granted I did not read the invoice, but I was explicity told by the sales that it was 174.39 MONTHLY, which in plain English means it is what I would have to pay every month. A discount could be applied MONTHLY too. If it were a one-off, then it should have been explicitly mentioned anywhere during the sales process. But nothing like that was communicated, printed or otherwise. Also, while I paid for the upgraded server on 7 August, it was not until 15 August that they migrated my server - which means in this time, I was unable to do any work on the server. That got me a lot of complaints from my clients. No compensation for this was forthcoming. So if you want to go with Vodien, do so at your own peril. You will be hit with extra charges, hidden charges, and could even be doubly charged. And if you have auto-billing on, you could even pay that extra charge monthly and no one would be the wiser. Also be prepared for drastic price hikes if you choose Vodien. Finally, their service uptime is absolutely not the 99.99% they advertise. The quality of their service has dropped drastically over the last few years. I'm seriously considering legal action.

Incredible Support with complex DSN issues

I had an issue with DSN and needed support. The guy, Alfred, was incredibly helpful. He helped me link the domain to google tools which was quite a complex matter for me with many steps. I felt grateful because he went above and beyond and i really hope Vodien keeps up with these standards.

We have been a client of Vodien for more than 6 years for website hosting

We have been a client of Vodien for more than 6 years.My recent experience with Vodien has been appalling and to this date, they have not fixed my issues, proposed a suitable alternative solution or even had the courage to pick up the phone and talked to me directly (despite many requests for a phone call from the relevant personal).They were on the phone nearly every day to me in April to push my migration to a new server (that I did not request). Payment was made in April for the new server without them checking that it did fit my current requirements and technical constraints. My migration was supposed to be prioritised but I found out 4 month later that I still havent been migrated. Unsuccessful migration attempts were subsequently made without taking into account my timings request and with last minute notification.All the while it is impossible to contact anybody and receive a proper project plan with timings and issue resolution.I would not recommend this provider to anybody as they have total disregard for their customer.

Really very bad company

Really very bad company. Does not reply to any email. I sent emails, called a few times. No reaction from their part although they promise to do so. Was transfered to Vodien Internet Solutions from another company (Pakhosting) in Hong Kong. Definitely not a trustful company.
