We were working away from our business and had our van stolen, containing most of our tools. We phoned Enterprise, who said they had a small van available to hire and they would come and collect us at 1.00, as we obviously had no transport. After several calls from them, they then said they have no plans to come out to us, and they don't have a van, only a car. The guy at the garage was really not interested, and although I said I would like to complain because they had sold me something they didn't have, no one has bothered to get back to me - avoid this company

I hired a van from Enterprise in Walsall to move house and overall the experience was excellent.
There was a problem at the start as the van I originally booked wasn’t available, which is never ideal on moving day. However, the team went out of their way to sort it. They sourced another van for me, and although there was about a two-hour delay, they handled it brilliantly. My day rate was reduced to compensate, and they even let me keep the van until the next morning, which took a huge amount of stress out of the day.
Indy, who I dealt with throughout, was absolutely fantastic. He was flexible, understanding, and genuinely focused on making things work despite the hiccup at the start.
Moving house is stressful enough, and things can easily go wrong, but Enterprise (and especially Indy) made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I’d definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Booked a car for midday and was called an hour before, I had failed a soft address check, impossible I say, I am a homeowner. Perhaps the name on my mortgage and name on my licence being different did it... I ask if anything can be done. Computer says no.

Utterly stupid that such a nonsensical disconnect will make them knee jerk refuse, and so stupid that they left it to an hour before I am due to collect the car they let me know.

Also the woman on the phone said "it's not a credit check"... It is. She lied. She doesn't even know the checks she is carrying out.

The car was very good (Nissan Juke). BUT every time I get an Enterprise car (from my insurance company last year and the RAC this February) they always STEAL money off me via my credit card. This time it was £20. When I query it they always play tennis with me: branch says call head office. Head office say call branch. E-mails to so-called "customer care" are ignored.
They always say the mystery charges are "probably" a speeding or parking fine, or ULEZ. No, £20 is too cheap for speeding or parking. It's not ULEZ as the cars weren't driven in Greater London (and were 2020s petrol models). Also the money was taken too soon (during the hire period) for the mystery charges to be fines. It's not a fuel discrepancy as they were returned with the same level of fuel I collected them with.

My husband and I had our cars crashed into parked outside our house, we were probid d with courtesy cars through enterprise, we both received 24 plate Ford Kuga. Immaculately clean, delivered to our door,young man was very polite and professional , and went through everything with me.
I called and arranged for collection after our claims were settled as no fault. Another young made came to collect, very polite and courteous.
This is the second time I have had this happen was 3 years ago, and had a fantastic experience then to. Thank you

My car was sadly written off last month. I was able to receive a courtesy car with enterprise. I rely on a car for work, so as you can imagine, I was very stressed at the thought of not having a car. Enterprise were brilliant. Picked me up from my address and took me to collect the courtesy car. I can't remember the lady's name, but I'm sure it was Chloe. She is fabulous. She explained everything to me about how the car works and how you fill the petrol back up to what it was on the day you receive the car.
My new car took longer than planned and enterprise extended the time for me which was great. Life saver. Thank you guys.

I took rented car from enterprise in Bristol city centre it was the 1st time I haven’t took full cover and they charged damage fee for seat .. which was in same condition even before we took even their staff knew about it I have been robbed £750 from life’s biggest mistake to rent from this organisation

This is the most frustrating rental service I've ever encountered. I returned the car ahead of the scheduled time, yet I was charged for an additional day because they asserted it was returned late. For anyone considering this rental service, be sure to obtain a confirmation of your return date and time to avoid future issues.

Disappointing experience with a rental car

I rented a car from Heathrow on 14 Jan 2026 and received a different vehicle than what I had reserved, which was frustrating. After driving for about half an hour, I had to stop, and the car wouldn't start. I pressed the foot brake and park brake, then hit the "Start" button, but it just wouldn't turn on (keyless entry was active). An error message appeared saying "Stop safely." I tried to start it over 30 times, but the engine didn't respond, and it was stuck in park (P), unable to shift to "R" or "D". I requested roadside assistance around 10 p.m., but they informed me they couldn't arrive until midnight. I had to wait in the car in the rain and cold. Eventually, the car started around 11 p.m. after at least 50 attempts, and I called to cancel the assistance. When I returned the car the next day, the manager at the company claimed there was no record of my assistance request and denied any responsibility for renting out a malfunctioning vehicle. They couldn't explain why the car wouldn't shift out of "P" if there was no issue and avoided addressing the "Stop Safely" message I reported. It was a Ford Kuga hybrid. I would recommend avoiding this company, as they are unlikely to offer compensation for serious problems with their rentals.
