I purchased this vehicle as an ex-demo…

I purchased this vehicle as an ex-demo and it has been nothing but problems. In 3.5 years I’ve had the transmission replaced, ignition button replaced, three steering wheel failures, ongoing Travel Assist errors, and now a seatbelt warning fault while buckled. The car has been back seven times under warranty. I’ve been forced to drive it for months with known faults, no timeline, no compensation, and constant delays. Volkswagen Australia has repeatedly failed to respond or resolve the issue. This car is a lemon and the customer service has been disgraceful.

Appaling customer service

I am extremely disappointed with Volkswagen Australia and their handling of a warranty issue on my Volkswagen Touareg. While the vehicle is still under warranty, an error light appeared indicating a fault with the AdBlue pump. I immediately contacted my local Volkswagen dealer, who confirmed the pump is faulty and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, the part has to be sourced from overseas, meaning a wait of approximately four weeks. The serious issue is that due to this fault, the vehicle has a remaining driving range of only 500km before the engine shuts down and the car becomes undriveable. I was advised to limit my driving until the repair can be carried out, which is completely unrealistic.I have school-aged children with regular activities, no second vehicle, and cannot be without a car. Despite this, Volkswagen Australia declined a request from the dealership to provide a hire car—even though the vehicle is under warranty and the fault has been confirmed. For a vehicle of this price and a brand that promotes reliability, this level of customer care is unacceptable. Leaving customers effectively without transport while waiting weeks for warranty repairs is appalling. This experience has completely eroded my trust in Volkswagen Australia, and I will never purchase a Volkswagen again.

Recall work left me without a car, no reimbursement or response

My vehicle was immobilised during mandatory recall work and I was declined any interim transport support by Volkswagen, resulting in unavoidable out-of-pocket transport costs. Volkswagen Robina advised me that Volkswagen Australia declined reimbursement due to the age of the vehicle, which is why I escalated the matter directly to Volkswagen Australia Consumer Care via email. Despite providing documentation, I received no response at all from Volkswagen Australia. This lack of communication and accountability is extremely disappointing, particularly from a company of Volkswagen’s size, given the situation arose directly from recall work outside of my control.

Worst experience ever

Purchased demo new Volkswagon transport from Capalaba Volkswagon vehicle failed with in 24 hours of purchase, took a month to be fixed.Odometer reading on vehicle read 440km when purchased. On closer inspection of sales contract odometer reading reads 1680km over a 1200km discrepancy.More than a month later still no second key or log book for vehicle that I paid $63300 shameful effort.Dealership does not return calls once they have your money and if they do it’s all smoke and mirrors.Volkswagon wagon Buy back scheme send you a email with dates as to when they will keep you updated on your request and you never hear back from them again even after you have been on the phone trying to get some answers.SO BEWARE IF YOU VALUE YOUR PEACE OF MIND STAY AWAY FROM VOLKSWAGON BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES AFTER PURCHASE YOU WILL BE LEFT FEELING FRUSTRATED AND ROBBED.Sent from my iPhone

EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION & POOR…

EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION & POOR SERVICE - won’t repair under warranty! Have referred to ACC Volkswagen why has my 2022 Tiguan Allspace been burning so much oil that I have to top it up min 1L per MONTH since purchasing it new? Even within 3 weeks of a full service it’s fault light has come on.Its consistently high oil consumption is excessive! It is now even blowing smoke intermittently. The service centre FINALLY made warranty repairs after nearly 3 years of me raising the issue and being brushed off and told it’s normal for these cars. The problem was not resolved and they want to charge me $230 to even look at the car to reassess why their repairs didn’t work.VW Australia customer support was rude and unhelpful and offered no solution to this issue. [Name Removed] offered to make a repair appointment and then failed to stating that I needed to do it myself, and pay for the warranty fix again. Why is the onus being placed on customers of a new car to have a manufacturing fault fixed instead of being handled through warranty? (This same issue is well known in the same model sold overseas with a class action underway…yet no reasonable response from VW.)This VW Tiguan Allspace has been unreliable and a complete disappointment as a family car used for daily school drop offs. Our family has had Volkswages since the ‘60’s but now I’ve lost faith in the brand - not worth the hassle, even new!Purchased in June 2022 at Volkswagen Dealers for $63,297.Transmission: AutomaticBought: NewYear: 2022

Bought a new Mk8 GTI 2021, plagued with issues still!

Bought a new Mk8 GTI 2021, it has spent more time at the dealer than we have driven it. To get the AM radio to work you need to change stations several times before the static noise disappears, apparently VW engineers say that's normal, what a load of Bullshit! So many safety issues, worse one is when the crash symbol come on and you slam the breaks on and the guy behind you nearly rear ens you! Apparently due to environmental conditions, the issue is VW Australia don't care. 4 years of issues and they says this is normal!

Head Gasket Failure VW T-Roc 2020

Bought a $45k VW T-Roc new. Under 5 years old, 80k km. Major head gasket failure. VW Australia refuses warranty as car came from NZ. Clear breach ofAustralian Consumer Law. Left with undrivable car. I would like a repair to this but no one will call me back to discuss.

I would give a negative 5 if i can

I would give a negative 5 if i can. Bought a Golf Mk8 in 2022. Now having issues with the gearbox sensor , lights up "error in selector lever" and car cannot be driven, but other times it occasional can when i turn on and off for like 10-20 times. Took me 1 month to be able to get the car checked at service centre. Said they need to order a sensor - 2 weeks past and nobody called so I called back and had a "pleasant" surprise; the sensor has already arrived but nobody called to let me know. and the earliest that they can book me in is 2 weeks later. My car has now completely died and refused to move. Called them back- same thing I can tow my car there buy no guarantee that it will be fixed earlier than the 2 weeks date. Also that they DO NOT provide loan cars (unlike what Volkswagen advertised on their website , that any car breakdown that is under warranty is eligible for loan car). Escalated to VW Australia but same thing nothing else can be done- asked me to contact VW Roadside assistance instead. Poor customer service with no accountability. Am seriously thinking of selling away this one and never ever buy a VW anymore.
