Docking Station with USB Charging Issues Resolved

I purchased a docking station that initially had USB charging issues when no device was connected. I contacted the support team, and they promptly provided a firmware update that fixed the problem. There are still a few minor issues with the dock that happen occasionally, but they can be easily resolved by unplugging and reconnecting the device.

Setup Required More Effort Than Expected

Overall, I have an outdoor Wi-Fi extender that works well once installed. I need a network connection for cameras in my chicken coop located several hundred feet away from my house. However, I must admit that the setup process was far more complicated than advertised, and I almost returned it. The instructions were unclear, with some broken links. Eventually, I had to reach out to customer support, who guided me through the setup step by step. To their credit, the support team was quick to respond to my emails and even called me back as requested, earning them five stars. I do feel the price is somewhat high, and the unit is quite large and bulky. It needs to be mounted or secured, or else it keeps tipping over. Additionally, there's a constant green indicator light on the power cable, which is a bit bothersome since I placed the unit outside a second-floor bedroom window for better signal coverage. All in all, it surpasses some other products I've tried and meets my needs, but the complicated setup was disappointing.

Frustrating Experience with the Product

I purchased a model that functioned for a while before malfunctioning. After returning it for a replacement, the new unit failed just four months later. The company's website does not list this model for firmware updates. I sought assistance through their site, but like before, I received absolutely no response. I cannot recommend this company or its unreliable product. Looking online, I see I am not alone, as there are numerous negative reviews. I will now consider other brands that have proven to be better in the past.

Simple Installation for Wide Coverage

The installation process was straightforward. I placed it about 12 feet up on the exterior of my metal building. In repeater mode, it wirelessly connects to my home's router 40 feet away and broadcasts a signal over 200+ feet outdoors. So far, it's absolutely worth the money! The setup was incredibly easy—just power the unit on while near your computer or smartphone, connect to it via Wi-Fi, and a settings screen should appear. Enter the factory password from the manual, set the mode, connect to your Wi-Fi, and adjust the Wi-Fi name if desired. Then save your settings. I’ll update this review if anything changes over time.

Quick and Professional Response

The response was very quick. All communication was handled via email since I do not have a phone. The replies addressed my unusual issue with great professionalism. Ultimately, they couldn't provide a solution, but it wasn't their fault. I've never experienced such a high level of assistance from a company before! Usually, requests are ignored, or you receive some generic automated response. Not in my case.

Unreliable Outdoor Router

The outdoor router is unreliable, and the plastic becomes brittle and breaks quickly. The metal SIM carrier shorts some SIM cards, limiting usage to those where pads don’t reach the edge. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

Underwhelming Router Performance

The router throttles gigabit fiber internet down to 95 Mbps and then fails to connect entirely. Various brands, including this one, have proven to be overpriced and underperforming.
