Review Time
Honestly, this company are a complete joke! I worry consumers who arrive here to read these reviews have already made the mistake, like I did, of purchasing something from Wellaheat only to realise something is not right.I purchased a "heated" vest 14 January 2025 based on information on Wellaheat's website, which includes reviews from alleged "verified" customers. I was expecting fast shipping and a premium quality product. Not so...I did receive tracking information but it indicated my product was stuck in "the port of origin" only God knew where. I left it like this for a while to give a reasonable chance for my item to make its journey to my address. After waiting for over a week I contacted the email address provided in the order information (it's also the email address provided in their terms and conditions of sale). Like everyone else's, my emails bounced back undelivered. I paid with PayPal, so decided to check my options after seeing such bad feedback on Trustpilot - I was concerned I'd been scammed. I managed to trace another email address for Wellaheat which is provided to help PayPal payers raise issues directly with the retailer (before opening a payment dispute). I emailed and asked for a full refund and to cancel my order. I was told I could return the item if I still wanted to by the time the item arrived. It finally arrived 3 Feb. The product was terrible!! Was loads smaller than the size chart information and the heat was non-existent. It just didn't work. I went back to the company to say I wanted to return the product at no cost to me as the item was defective. They said I could return the item for a refund but that as per their terms and conditions I had to pay for shipping. I was incredulous!! I'll not go into the detail of my next steps but put it this way, I highlighted my concerns about their false advertising, their suspicious reviews on their website and the fact that they were trying to charge me, the consumer, to return a faulty item. The outcome is that I still have the crap product - no idea what I'm supposed to do with it now - but I did manage to get a 75% refund. I believe that Wellaheat know full well that at least some of their products are terrible and not as described. They most likely (in my opinion) rely on the process for contacting them and returning bad products being so bad that people just put it down to an expensive mistake. It's just too much hard work! The non-functioning customer contact number is proper dodgy in my view. However, I received no reassurances that it would be fixed. I sent a test email to it a few days ago, just to check and it's still not operating.
No customer service. Email for service gets bounced back. They double charged my credit card. They use a trading company in the UK to appear as if the product is UK-made, when it's really from Asia. Vests are horrible quality. Only heats neck area. Battery doesn't last anywhere near as long as claimed. And they are expensive. Complete rip-off.
I thought this company was legitimate, but it is not. When I tried calling the number on the website the call would ring twice and then hang up. I also tried the support number only to have my email bounced back. I notified my bank of the problem because I did not receive my product and was not able to contact the company.
Three weeks and no tracking number, Customer service line is never answered, Waited on hold over thirty minutes on 3 different calls and they finally say to reach out another way. First they told me my address was wrong and they supplied me with my correct address, they then told me they would expedite the shipment, No tracking # yet. They have lied multiple times and are impossible to speak to anyone!!!
