Frustrated and let down

I initially chose this service because they seemed reputable. The onboarding process was professional, and I felt confident in their handling of my straightforward property purchase. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. Communication has been painfully slow and often non-existent since late July. Weeks pass without updates, and every inquiry is met with vague responses. I’ve been left in the dark, which is unacceptable. I now regret my choice, and I urge anyone considering this service to think twice. Clear communication is the minimum expectation from a solicitor, and unfortunately, this service has fallen short.

Some reviews seem quite unfair. I don’t usually write reviews, but after reading negativity, I felt compelled to share my experience. I recently completed my sale and purchase through this service and can't relate to the complaints at all. Yes, conveyancing takes time, and delays happen due to multiple parties involved, but blaming the solicitors for every hiccup is unjust. I found my solicitor and their team responsive and helpful. They kept me updated without me having to chase them, which is rare these days. They were clear about what they needed from me and completed the job properly. I would absolutely use this service again.

Reflecting on others' negative experiences. This firm lacks communication and action. You often have to beg for responses, and when they do reply, it's only partial answers. I raised a formal complaint, but nothing has been addressed. I lost my buyer after weeks of inactivity. A house sale and purchase is significant—please, for your own sanity, avoid this firm. In the 18 weeks I’ve been with them, this review is the only communication I've received.

It wasn’t like this when I used them previously… The people at WS this time tried to be helpful, when you can get them to communicate with you. But after 8 weeks of confusion, repeated communication, and very little progress on our purchase I’m glad we changed our firm. We will now spend the next few weeks trying to gain the sellers’ confidence.

Felt undervalued this time

This was the third time I'd used Wilford Smith. The first two experiences had been reasonably good but this last engagement left a lot to be desired. Communication was woeful throughout and felt undervalued. Disappointed.
