We recently enjoyed a week at the Smoky Hollow lodge, and it was fantastic. The team was very proactive in keeping us updated before our arrival. The lodge was clean, spacious, and cozy, with excellent kitchen facilities. We loved the decor, and it was dog-friendly, allowing us to bring our two Jack Russells who enjoyed the well-maintained grounds. Ample dog waste bins and access to walking trails were a plus. The hot tub was regularly checked, which was great. Our stay was incredibly relaxing, and we would love to return.
What can I say? The campsite is fantastic, with an impressive layout and cleanliness. The small shop at reception is well-stocked. Before our visit, I reached out for information about food vendors, and they responded immediately. The lodge we stayed in was beautiful and spotlessly clean, equipped with everything we needed for a delightful getaway, including a welcome gift and champagne. The staff was attentive, addressing a minor shower issue promptly. This is our second visit, and we will certainly be back. Huge thanks to the team for making our stay unforgettable!

We booked a summer holiday expecting a great time with our young family, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. Our initial lodge was not clean upon arrival, with several issues that we had to address ourselves. The following day, plumbing problems arose in both bathrooms, causing significant stress. Although a staff member was helpful in relocating us, the alternative lodges did not meet expectations. We faced further inconveniences and poor communication when seeking resolution. Despite the efforts of one staff member, the overall experience was disappointing, and I cannot recommend this place, especially for families.

The lodge was clean and spacious, although the carpet had a slight odor. The on-site shop was handy for treats. We enjoyed fish and chips on arrival and visited the nearby pub for drinks. Overall, it was a relaxing weekend, and I would definitely recommend this place and return in the future.

Our Christmas break was unfortunately marred by issues. After concerns from previous reviews, we upgraded to a more expensive lodge, only to find it did not meet expectations. The cleanliness was lacking, with stained bedding and a hot tub that was uncomfortably cool. Attempts to reach out for help went largely unaddressed. Despite some assistance from a staff member, the overall experience was disappointing, and we chose to leave early. The management's response was inadequate, leaving us unsatisfied.
