Horrible, endless nightmare for wedding planning. WithJoy managed to royally screw up my Save the Dates. Their website requires you to use their contact collector, which requires email addresses to use, or gives you the option to import guest list information however it must be in a specific format in order for the import process to work. So I formatted all 200+ people specifically according to their website instructions. Then I imported the addresses to the WithJoy site. Then I designed Save the Dates and went to order the cards and envelopes. Here is where the nightmare began. The only two options for printing return addresses on the envelopes were either just the names on the envelope flap (the back of the envelope) or the wedding couples' names and full address on the back envelope flap. There is no way to edit the "To" mailing address on the front of the envelope. All the addresses printed in one long line across the front of the envelope. I figured that since WithJoy is such a massive operation that whatever their design tool showed me would be fine. Oh how wrong I was. Over half of my invitations never made it to the addressed party. Between postage and the cost of the cards I am out $300. My wasted time spent fixing this is worth money too. The USPS office told me that 1) return addresses should always be on the front upper left of the envelope, not centered on the back. This is confirmed on their website. 2) WithJoy printed the delivery addresses in nonstandard format. Keep in mind there is no way to edit this as a user and there was no website warning that the addresses would be undeliverable. 3) The return addresses on the back were the only things printed in the delivery format. 4) USPS cannot rerun the invite through the machines again because they have already used the postage. 5) The USPS cannot guarantee that any of the undeliverable invites would be returned properly due to the aforementioned issues. Every week for months, I get returned mail. I brought this up to WithJoy's team, who blamed me for not manually reformatting all the guest addresses in the website (not the invitation design) after I imported them. So what was the point of formatting and importing??? I pointed out that there was nothing in any section of the website or the design tool that mentioned this. I asked for a refund of the money I spent on the printed invites and for postage. They offered to reprint the envelopes for free ... without the cards. I asked them what they thought I would be putting in the cards? As there were no more Save the Dates because they were all sent out, and some took months to be returned and so when they were returned they were quite damaged and beat up. Months went by and I decided to go someplace else to print my actual wedding invitations. I logged on to WithJoy to check the RSVP status, because after spending hours and hours building the wedding website and already directing dozens of people to the site, WithJoy is unfortunately where all my RSVPs are. Guess what? The WithJoy team deleted all my addresses from my guest list. Astonishing!
WORSE EXPERIENCE with With Joy Invitations. It was impossible to speak to a human so I had to Chat with 5 different people from India to resolve my issue. I had to send screenshots and screen videos, and it took 3 days and 12 hours of online time to find a roundabout way to send digital invitations. In addition, they have a very limited ability to customize. The invitation order is not connected to their website or registry dashboard. Worse, I had to clear my history and cache every time I wanted to test or sent invitations. I've never been more frustrated in my life. I would have canceled the order, but the invitation had already been designed and approved by my clients. No compensation or review of my experience was provided to me or sent.
Booked a hotel room through withjoy. Confirmation email came through incorrect. Trying to get hold of the correct person was difficult (encountered a bot, who kept misunderstanding what I was saying, and then a human who also misunderstood). Finally fixed through the hotel, but frustrating.
WithJoy.com stole my room block link and routed my guests to Expedia.com without their awareness, consent or my permission. In doing so, I now owe thousands of dollars to the hotel. My unique room block link allows guests to cancel and modify their reservation and withjoy.com's link does not. I did not sign up for their hotel concierge service and was not informed that links that I add to my personal pages would be compromised. My guests and I have tried reaching out to withjoy.com and we have not heard any response.
THE WORST please save yourself the hassle and frustration. I had a terrible experience throughout and am still having issues. No one can pull up my wedding website using safari on their phones. It consistently states that there has been an error and wont load. It is embarrassing when it’s your wedding website and you have sent your announcements only for no one to be able to open it conveniently with the scan code or typing it into their browser. No one should have to go through all of these issues for their wedding experience. The invitations came dirty and was not good quality. The envelopes are extremely thin and can see right through them. I had registry issues with updates not loading and having to delete the registry each time I made an update and then had to reload it and mark it as private which was such a hassle. There is ONE template option with a bar scan code and picture that does not look good or professional. We had to redo our invites multiple times. They didnt offer anything for the inconvenience or issues I was having which was the entire experience. As for their customer service I spoke with a different person each time asking the same questions, no one was helpful or had answers or solutions to any of these issues. Please do not use Joy there are so many other better options. If I would have know and done better research I would’ve used any other company. I hope to help others from using them in the future to save them the time, money and frustration.
It’s only US base! You can’t have a registry in euros, you can’t have the appointment in other time zone. You can’t send invites outside mainland US.ITS MADE FOR USA!!!! And after spending so much time building the site … at the end! At any point you are told anything!RUN RUN
We put our hotel booking link on our site with our group code. We checked that it worked. Great! We come back a month later to find out not only have they changed the site layout so that the hotel information and our group code was HIDDEN, but they REPLACED our booking link with THEIR OWN without notifying us!! That means that any of our guests that clicked on the link would have had to pay double or more for the hotel room and they would have gotten money for the sale!! That is BEYOND scummy! Total sneaks! Stay away from these scam artists!
Totally SKETCH!!!. Tried to send a cash gift and did not receive an e-card to personalize the gift, no options to do so. Site only asked for email information so it can "help us TRACK your GIFT" and then gave a selection for me to my paypal account. Nothing else!! OK, not acceptable. If you are going to offer the option of cash as a gift for the bride and groom you better have a true ability to ACCOUNT and to track each gift. This is totally SKETCH!
I don't ever go out of my way to review a website or app, but I don't want future couples to feel the frustration my husband and I experienced by using With Joy. If I could, I would go back and tell myself to just pay for a different and actually helpful website/app.This website made the wedding planning experience all the more stressful and aggravating by constantly having issues. The biggest frustration was that I couldn't get the link for the invites (despite them saying "linked copied"). I spent a fair amount of time working on it and had to link my guests to the website, which was disappointing. That is one example of many more issues I experienced while planning my wedding with this app.My advice: Pay for another app or something - the added stress is not worth the convenience of it being free.
