I ordered a $430 wedding gift from “With Joy” site. Three weeks later, when the bride never received the gift, I notified the site. They said “oops,” the gift never shipped because of a “delay.” WithJoy never notified me nor the bride. I am suspicious that they were planning to pocket the price of the gift hoping no one would notice. In the chaos that accompanies weddings, it is a safe bet that things like this may get overlooked by the bride. At the very least, the site should notify customers of delays. There was no tracking information given when the item was ordered. This is not industry standard. Beware when ordering from this site!
I strongly advise anyone think twice before using the Joy Website for your wedding, and if you do, please DO NOT use their registry. I was married in October of this year (2023) and used Joy as my wedding website. One of my guests purchased us an Instant Pot from our registry, but we never received it. I had to reach out to customer service to find out because they never informed me or my guest, and they said that the vendor was out of stock. When I asked them to reimburse my guest for the price of the Instant Pot, they refused to. It has been a nightmare to work through, and I want to make sure no other newlywed has to go through this much stress after their wedding. My guest should be entirely refunded for the undelivered goods, but they will not. Please, please, anyone think twice before using Joy and NEVER use their registry.
Nightmare scenario where the wedding invites went out to literally every guest with everyone's names written on each email. Terrible and embarrassing experience, which is a shame because this website has some good features. The guestlist feature is absolutely not one of them
This site might be great for the couple, but for guests who want to use it for schedules, registries, etc., it’s very very difficult to navigate. I came to a wedding armed with my login info and smartphone, yet cannot access anything. All I get is offered to “get started” for my own wedding, which I don’t want or need.
Don’t purchase gifts on a registry through the site. They charge shipping per product. Go to the retailers sites and purchase through them and mark as purchased on the registry. I could have gotten free shipping if I bought through crate and barrel but since they separated all of my purchases on joy they charged me $22 for shipping. Not fair and terrible customer service. They won’t refund me.
If I could give zero I would. The site looks good until you try to use it. I have tried, and tried, and tried to actually send money in the registry section, and it just won't work. Says gift is reserved, but won't let me actually send. Says nothing is in the cart. History section shows the gift, so I try to "give now". Won't let me choose paypal, and when it finally allows that, it won't move on and won't allow me to select payment. Screen freezes. Completely frustrating.
