My experience with WorldFirst has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
They froze funds coming from my seller account on Delcampe — a well-established international collectibles platform — and processed via Mangopay, which is Delcampe’s official payment provider.
The biggest issue? Their compliance team clearly did not understand how Delcampe works.
They repeatedly requested a “Mangopay statement” directly from me, despite the fact that Delcampe sellers do NOT have independent Mangopay accounts or separate login access. Mangopay is fully integrated and managed at platform level. This is basic marketplace structure knowledge.
I explained this multiple times and provided full screenshots of my Delcampe account, transaction history, balances, and proof of activity. Instead of properly reviewing the documentation, they declined the release of my legitimate business funds.
As a result, I was forced to contact Delcampe directly to obtain remitter bank details so WorldFirst could refund the payment. This caused unnecessary delays, stress, and disruption to my operations — all because of their lack of understanding of a major marketplace system.
For a company positioning itself as a global payment provider, this level of inflexibility and limited marketplace knowledge is unacceptable. Compliance is important — but it must also be competent and informed.
I strongly urge WorldFirst to improve its compliance training and ensure their teams understand standard marketplace payment models before freezing legitimate sellers’ funds.
Very disappointing experience.
After two years of stable work with Payoneer Bank without the slightest problem, I decided to try WorldFirst Bank to manage my payments from the Amazon platform. Unfortunately, this was the worst decision I made.
As soon as the first payment from Amazon arrived, and after only three days, I was surprised by the permanent and sudden closure of my account without any prior warning or any justification for this action. I tried to contact the support team via email to understand the problem, but I did not receive any response, reflecting a complete disregard for individual customers.
It seems that the bank lacks professionalism in dealing with individual accounts and does not care about customer support. I do not recommend anyone who relies on e-commerce to risk their money with them.
Another thing, when you sent me an email, you said that your global account login would be terminated on 2026/02/20, but when I try to log into the account, it tells me there is an error. I hope to receive a response from you to explain why this closure happened. Thank you.
I am a freelancer and I did my KYC. After that, I asked the support team to make a world card. They said I needed 100 USD in my account. So I received payment of 800 USD from a client. The client sent it but I was asked to do some extra tasks and submit documents. As I am a freelancer, I submitted my Upwork profile, agreements, and orders that I managed. But the transaction declined and returned to the payee. This has been a worse experience for me as a freelancer. I am a shareholder in 3 ecommerce stores and also manage the customer support and policy management sides. But I was denied an opportunity to receive payments still. This could have been done while KYC, so I shouldn't have received a payment and waited for a reversal.
I left a 1-star review about WorldFirst freezing my funds and ignoring my emails for 15 days. Their response? Flag it as "defamatory" to try to get it removed.
Trustpilot assessed it in 35 minutes and restored it. Not defamatory — just the truth they don't want you to see.
A company that spends more effort suppressing reviews than responding to customer emails. That's WorldFirst for you.
When I first began using the service, my experience was truly excellent. The support team was prompt and very helpful, ensuring that the initial setup and transactions went smoothly. The commission rates were also quite competitive and low, which played a significant role in my decision to choose this service. However, over time, I have observed a notable and disappointing decline in service quality. The response time for inquiries or issue resolution has increasingly lengthened. More troubling is the fact that the commission fees have consistently risen. What started as a cost-effective and efficient option has regrettably transformed into a service where the advantages are being overshadowed by escalating costs and a clear decrease in support responsiveness. It’s disappointing to witness the quality of service diminish after such a promising beginning. In conclusion, this service exemplifies the gap between strong marketing and a lackluster long-term user experience.
I am deeply dissatisfied with the way this service operates. I have submitted every necessary legal document and requirement in detail, yet my account was suspended without any clear explanation. Despite meeting all compliance obligations, they failed to open my bank account, leaving me without any information.
This behavior is not only unprofessional but also shows a lack of respect for customers who trust them with sensitive data. Their absence of transparency and accountability indicates how little they care for their clients. I regret investing my time and effort in such a service, and I strongly recommend that others avoid it.
I am deeply frustrated with how this service operates. Despite providing all necessary documentation, my account was suspended without any clear reason. They failed to open my account even after meeting all requirements, leaving me uninformed. This is not just unprofessional but also disrespectful to clients who trust them with sensitive information. Their lack of transparency shows how little they value their customers. I regret my time spent with such a service and strongly advise others to avoid it.
