Bought a surprise advent calendar, unfortunately I didn't know there was a time limit to redeem, when I checked it said the voucher had expired. Have paid for it but won't be getting the item and no option to get a refund or get another code.Basically taken my money for nothing. As a consumer aren't we entitled to a refund if we don't receive what we pay for?
FALSELY ADVERTISED Do not buy “ Mystery Deal For Him or Her - £500 Gift Cards, Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Dior, Jewellery Sets & More!”.This is wrongly advertised, and the gift I received was not on the list of prices. I dealt with both the merchant and wowcher, however neither would take accountability for this. This issue was never resolved, as the merchant blamed wowcher, stating that was what they were told to send, and wowcher just kept sending me the list of prices. When I tried to raise several times it didn’t match any of the list, it was ignored every single time.I am disgusted of the false advertisement of this deal.Wowcher have advised in their comment I could get a full refund if I responded within 14 days. This was not true. I received my item on 22/10/25 and this was the day I emailed the merchant. It then took til 27th to receive a response. I contacted wowcher for the first time on 25/10 ( as you advised you need to give the merchant 72 hours to respond. Since then wowcher has been copying & pasting my answer directly to the merchant and stating “ we will await their reply”. This has been going on for 3 weeks. They have never offered me a refund, they state a refund is not possible but I can exchange it. However, if they are falsely advertising it like they have, I don’t want an exchange, as I am not confident I’ll be getting the correct items.
Finally got my £227.99 refund TODAY (18 Nov 2025) after a **31-day ordeal** with Order #50433396.Timeline of lies & scams:– Bought digital Amsterdam voucher 18 Oct 17:38– Cancelled **4 hours later** (22:00 WhatsApp bot — errored, no follow-up)– More cancellations/refund requests: 19 Oct 10:00 AM + 20 Oct ×2 — **all ignored**– Auto-redeemed **39h22m early** on 20 Oct 09:00 (breached their own 48h rule)– Identical copy-paste deflections on **WhatsApp, email, PayPal, Trustpilot**– Trustpilot reply (~22 Oct) lied: “We’ve contacted merchant in 3 working days” → **zero contact**– Escalated PayPal claim 25 Oct– 03 Nov they uploaded **fake postal tracking** to block my refund– **17 full days** of PayPal fighting (25 Oct → 18 Nov) just to get my own money back– PayPal confirmed I won on 11 Nov but delayed refund until 18 Nov so Wowcher could “appeal”Chances of refund without PayPal claim: **<5%**. Their entire “customer service” is a **deliberate scam machine** designed to exhaust you.DO NOT TRUST A SINGLE WOWCHER REPLY — they are trained liars.I am now reporting to:• CMA (mis-selling + fake tracking)• ICO (GDPR breach — data shared with Travelolo after cancellation)• ASA (false “easy refund” advertising)• Starting group complaint on ResolverAVOID WOWCHER LIKE THE PLAGUE. Buy direct or somewhere else. Save your sanity and your money.do not trust any replies from wowcher just avoid them. i wish i checked their reviews before ordering
