We went to the In Car Safety Centre in Towchester. They were absolutely fantastic. We have a motorhome and a 2yo who is the height and weight of a 4yo as well as a 6 week old baby. We were really concerned about getting them as safe as possible but our set of circumstances were quite unique and the solution wasn’t straight forward. They helped us make use of car seats we already had and didn’t upsell anything to us. They just helped, gave great advice and we left feeling incredibly grateful. We did buy a car seat, perhaps we could have bought it cheaper somewhere else but we would have paid good money for the advice we were given. Thanks team!
Danielle from the Belfast branch was great. Friendly girl, who knows what she’s doing. I just needed peace of mind, as I wasn’t totally sure about my seat base. She also fixed the straps etc on the actual seat. I was never confident that I had it at its safest. So £25 is absolutely well worth it!
Went to the essex centre, sent by our care coordinator, our daughter is 4 with asd and other health problems, although only 4 she is the size of a 9 year old. The ladies at the essex centre found the only car seat suitable for her, due to her height and weight - which is the kidsflex car seat with harness, it's a very expensive car seat. So we managed to vey fortunately secure part funding (£2700)and we paid the rest (£685). Then the marketing manager Catriona contacts me, she explains there's been an 'admin error' and there's another £1500 to pay for accessories!!we were never told about accessories and it was Catriona herself who provided the quote!! And I need to contact charities for this as it's not much for them to find!! I spoke with 3 separate charities who all felt in car safety should honour the quote, in car safety said they will not do this and then decided they won't have anything to do with the seat now, so after all of this a lovely gentleman who also supplies the seat has come forward, and it turns out in car safety was ordering a car seat to big for my daughter, so that has been corrected and turns out they are over charging by at least £1500 if not more as this gentlemen has provided a quote which means there's actually to much money now from ourselves and the charity. Also a lesser wait time for it. Would not recommend in car safety at all, however the ladies at the essex centre were very helpful and very understanding
We were guided to the Belfast branch by an occupational therapist, as our daughter has special needs and we were looking for a KidsFlex car seat for her.We made an appointment to come see one, and when we got there the display model had been sent to another branch so we couldn't see it.So they measured my daughter and said she was borderline between the size 2 and size 3, and 3 would probably be better to last a lot longer.We were quoted £4100 and were eventually sent a very generic invoice with a single line item "kids flex car seat plus accessories". When I asked for an actual invoice, detailing exactly what we were spending £4100 on I was told their invoicing platform wasn't set up for that (lol what?) and that it would take time.This rubbed me up the wrong way, so in the 2 weeks (yes. It took 2 weeks to provide an actual valid invoice) I started looking for alternative suppliers.It wouldn't be right to name names, but I found a supplier about 100 miles away which listed the seat and accessories at £2500 and had them in their showroom to see.We went down, and tried my daughter in the size 3 which was dangerously oversized for her. The shoulder belts at the lowest setting were nearly 4 inches above her shoulders. Clearly unacceptable. We tried her in the size 2 and she fits perfect, with plenty of room to grow. The size 2 can be specced for up to 75kg so this will be absolutely fine as she grows. The size 3 wouldn't even have fit in our car but of course this wasn't checked. So not only were they £1600 more expensive, quoting a lead time 2x longer than the other other supplier and reluctant to provide a valid invoice, the seat we were special ordering would have been completely unsuitable. I'm sure that would have ended well for us.
Fantastic service. I made the mistake of buying with SimplySafeCarseats and their non existent aftercare with the bullying Gabi. NEVER AGAIN.Entering the in car safety centre was like a breath of fresh air, your staff are polite courteous and friendly. They asked a 100 questions to make sure the seat i wanted was correct, and they then fitted it beautifully. I have since been in touch for a little guidance and received a reply with the hour. DO NOT buy your carseats from clowns on facebook, Visit certified professionals and have the seat of your choice fitted in YOUR car- a zoom call is not enough. Ladies, i will be singing your praises to all that will listen. i feel like visiting you guys was a fantastic safety decision for my family. Thank you
My husband, daughter and I visited In Car Safety Center today 07/09/24 to buy a car seat. From the moment we walked in the door until we left, this place treats us like a gold!! We have never been to a place where we felt so welcome. The lady who served us, sorry but I can't remember her name, I know she was alone that day, was very knowledgeable, she explained everything in detail about the seats we were interested in. She showed us how to use the seat in the store and in the car. Her full attention was devoted to us and only us. Thanks to this lady we have a seat that is tailored to our child's needs. Professional and very nice service. Thank you
We went to the MK branch and were so pleased with the service we received. Maisie was really knowledgeable on the seats on offer and took the time to know my son, his centiles etc to ensure he was in the safest seat. She wasn’t sure if he’d need the insert in the seat and tried him in others to ensure he had the perfect fit. Our seat was fitted for us free of charge and he ensure his fit was right once in the car. Cannot recommend them enough!
Excellent customer service from Maisie and Bev @ Milton Keynes. We had traveled from Wirral to Hemel using our AXKID minikid for the first time, we had issues with the slope of the seat in our car and popped in the purchase a AXKID wedge on the way through. Maisie and Bev refitted our seat with the wedge and gave guidance on where I had gone wrong fitting the seat initially. Baby was much happier and comfier for the remainder of the Journey! Brilliant customer service thankyou.
