Couldn’t recommend Derek higher. As a trainer myself I learned more by his methods of training, his approach, technique and enthusiasm about the subject along with the delivery - the delivery was exceptional. With that, nothing can overthrow experience. Thank you, Derek!
My business was transfered to Brinks when select security merged since then all it's been is headaches. I tried to cancel my account because my business was closing they took money out my account for 2 months they could not find my account. I was unable to close my account because they could not find my account.I went to the bank and put a stop payment on my account so they would not withdraw any more money however they are now sending me to the collection agency I was on the phone with brink security today for three and a half hours they were unable to locate my account. After transfer me five times they end up discontinuing the call.And you think I should have my security through them?Horrible just horrible experience.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! There customer service is terrible and the people are arrogant and they treat you like your stupid. I unplugged my security box because we were having an ice storm and lost power for 18 hours and the box kept beeping, so I unplugged the box. Then when the power came back on something happen and needed someone to look what happen to the box, all the guy did was take it off and put it back on and the office said that wasn't part of my service agreement and charged me $92 for a service call even though I pay for the insurance and should get free service when they said that wasn't included in the service agreement. Then when I called customer service and complained I was dropped from their service and dumped on to another company along with a bill for the $92. I spent 35 years in customer service and thats not how you treat people or you wont be in business for long. Either way I DO NOT recommend this company!!
Horrible customer service and poor follow-through. Expensive (parts, labor, and service). We have been without monitoring service for over a month after a technician installed a new detector and left the house with system not working. Talked to several representatives over the past month to try to get the issue resolved (calls initiated by me). I would expect a security company to have a some kind of sense of urgency to resolve a monitoring issue for its customers. When I asked to pause our account or be reimbursed for the time we have been without monitoring service, I was told "we don't do that". That was all I needed to cancel our account. Our contract was prepaid and they won't refund for the rest of the contract even though we cancelled due to unsatisfactory customer service. Definitely do not recommend.
I have been with Select Security for over 10 years and was relatively satisfied until recently. My alarm system stopped working, so was informed I would need to upgrade my system. I contacted the Sales Dept. to upgrade, but the follow-through was poor as well as the customer service; therefore my system was never upgraded. However, the Company continue to debit my bank account for monitoring fees a service I wasn't receiving. I contacted the company multiple times to get a refund but was informed this would not occur. It was only after a Third Party got involved that the Company agreed to a refund. I was appalled by the way the Company treated a long-time customer; therefore, I would not recommend to anyone else.
Was with for 10 years had no contract after 3 years .I stopped service called them they said keep the equipment and they still charged for 2 months even though their website said they must charge you for 2 months till they get their equipment back.Rip off plus they didn’t respond quick on alarms.Much better options out there now.
Beware of this company. If you think it is even a possibility that you might move in the next 5 years, do not do business with them. We are strongly considering paying $700 to get out of our contract just so we have no more relationship with this shady company.
BEWARE! Dishonest company with TERRIBLE customer service. They will refuse to cancel your account even after you request it numerous times. They acquired Alarm Force, a security company I had PREVIOUSLY done business with but I did NOT have an open account at the time of acquisition. They have been trying to collect money from me for years that I do NOT owe. Read lots of reviews online and find a different company!! I'm not the only person that they are trying to get money from when they acquired a CLOSED account...I've read it in several other reviews as well. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! You will be sorry you did!
