Old review: Fairly easy to use interface and quality was good. Just a star off because first page was glued oddly.I am amending this review to give Solentro 5 stars. After I posted the above review, Solentro contacted me and asked I send a photo of the construction flaw, which I did. They then immediately contacted me to let me know they would be sending a new book, which arrived very quickly. Their books are excellent quality and customer is amazing.
My order arrived poorly packed, and so very damaged. Also there were only 26 of the 30 books I ordered. The order needed to be completely reprinted, and so I missed the opportunity to sell the book at a fundraising event. Solentro reprinted my order, but did not expedite shipping and it was a rather nail-biting experience waiting for the order to arrive in good condition before my credit card payment was due. The books did eventually arrive in good condition.
Loved my photo book from Solentro! I tried so many different websites and none could do what Solentro did. You can customize your own pages meaning you can add photo and text boxes, as many as you want, as big or small as you’d like, you can drag and paste text from one page to another etc. I loved the end result and shipping time was not terrible given the fact it came all the way from Sweden. It took 10 days since I ordered to arrive. My husband loved loved his book for his 40th bday. Will definitely be using Solentro again!
If I could give them no stars I would. What others have said is true. Obviously when someone makes a personalized book/gift it is needed as such and has no other value to anyone else. Well whenever my shipment is delivered it's going straight in the trash because I not only was told that I should have been aware than it takes 1-2 weeks to be made, but also that paying for expedited shipping only means that it will be shipped, after said completion of book. Once told this I paid another company to create my books and got them done and bound as a same day service for 10x less the amount of money that I paid. When asked for order to be cancelled and refunded, magically my order had now a tracking number, wait I thought it would take 1-2 weeks to be created, now it was created in 2 days. These guys are a complete rip off and look the other way before purchasing, this was gift for my husband's donor family which was meant to be given on Father's day. If the book you are creating is important to you and has meaning, go with a different company, this company acts as if it's hard up for money with little to no care about customer service or support.
I have created three poetry/short story books using Solentro over the past five years. I love how the finished products have turned out! They are of incredible quality! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable company to print a book.
