The worst renting Co service i rented a SUV from them in miami Florida I had to mia mover to car rental area from there I had to take a shuttle to the office they send me a link to up load drivers license the app did not work I to wait in line over an hour I called them they told me You don't have to buy insurance if you have full coverage on your own car they told bring dec page of policy I did bring all they asked they told me pay $100 or we don't give you a car I had no choice I paid I paid for a SUV they gave a small car I got back to counters I had to argue to get the vehicle I paid for they are gangsters
This company is a complete scam and Expedia should be ashamed of themselves for sending their customers to this place. I booked my trip to Florida through Expedia and bundled the flight, airfare, and rental car. When I arrived at airport I had to take a shuttle to an offsite rental company. (Which is fine) I arrive and wait for about 15 mins in line while the people ahead of me check in and they look MAD. I’m about to find out why, it’s finally my turn I give them my license and my insurance policy. (my husbands an insurance agent we have plenty of coverage) They tell me that we don’t have enough coverage and to rent the car we need to purchase their insurance house insurance. $850 for TWO DAYS! I said absolutely not and left. As I was leaving I met with a family outside returning the car who said the same thing happened to them but they paid it because they didn’t know what else to do. It’s a complete scam and I feel so bad for all the family’s taking their trips and getting there and this happening. Every person ahead of me and every person I arrived with apparently didn’t have enough coverage so it seems that no one ever will have enough and will always be forced to buy their in house policy! Save yourself the headache
This is the worse car rental company I’ve ever had contact with. The line was long, with people standing at the door. There were different people in the building, but only 1 was behind the counter. They required my insurance company’s declaration page. I have never been asked to provide this. They wanted to charge me an additional $30.00 per day plus tax to use their insurance. I said no, by doing this, I would have paid an extra $240.00. This was because my personal insurance only had a $25,000 per person bodily injury and the state of California requires $30,000 per person. I called my insurance company and had the bodily injury increased to $50,000 per person. I went back inside the office and tried to rent the car, but was told I couldn’t because I had already canceled. Plus they wanted to charge $1,500 deposit on my credit card. I went online with Hertz and they provided me a car for a$226.00, so naturally, I went with Hertz. Hertz charged $200 deposit on my credit card. This is a terrible, terrible, company. People are on vacations, needing cars, and thinking that the car will be ready for pick up when they arrive at their destination. Zezgo doesn’t even have a pickup/return location at LAX, you have to be shuttled to a different location. Please read the reviews for this company, trust the reviews, and save yourself the headache. I contacted Expedia about a refund and was told that Zezgo would not issue a refund. I reserved for 1 week. I can understand them keeping 1 day of rental money but not the entire amount. REMEMBER: ALL THAT GLITTERS AIN’T GOLD.
Nearly $2,000 Charged After Return With No Proof & No Supervisor Access
I rented a vehicle from Zezgo Orlando and returned it on February 9, 2026 at 8:15 AM. The vehicle was inspected at drop-off. No damage was reported to me, and I was not asked to sign any damage acknowledgment form.
Four days later, on February 13, 2026, Zezgo charged my card $1,686.88 — almost $2,000 — without prior written notice, documentation, or explanation.
When I called, I was told the charge was for windshield damage and tolls. I was further told the alleged incident occurred on February 12 — three days AFTER the vehicle had already been returned and was no longer in my possession.
This makes no sense.
We did not go through any toll violations, accidents, towing, or incidents during the rental. I have clear photos of the vehicle taken at return, and the windshield was not damaged.
I have called repeatedly all day trying to resolve this directly. Each representative told me they “cannot help” and that I must email. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was not allowed to escalate the issue. I was denied access to anyone with authority to resolve the matter.
I immediately emailed and provided my return photos. Despite that, Zezgo has not provided:
Dated, time-stamped photos of the alleged windshield damage
A return inspection report
A signed damage acknowledgment form
An itemized repair invoice
Toll documentation showing dates and locations
A breakdown explaining how $1,686.88 was calculated
Additionally, my $250 security deposit has not been returned.
Being charged nearly $2,000 days after returning a vehicle, without documentation, without notice, and without access to a supervisor is extremely concerning. The lack of transparency and refusal to properly address the issue forced me to dispute the charge with my bank.
If you rent from this company:
• Take detailed photos and video at pickup and drop-off
• Get written confirmation of return condition
• Monitor your bank account after returning the vehicle
I hope this is corrected, but based on my experience, proceed with caution.
We were forced to buy additional and unnecessary insurance. The guy on the screen said he wouldn’t rent us the car if we didn’t. Blackmail. This was in Fort Lauderdale at night. Horrible company. Should not be used by travel sites. Everyone we ran into while waiting at zezgo had only negative things to say.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with the service. I waited over an hour to be picked up from the airport. When I finally arrived to collect the vehicle, I was told I couldn’t use my personal card and had to pay $302.26 for the rental. At that moment, I felt I had no other option. I expected my deposit to be refunded, but instead, they charged me an additional $88. When I called for clarification on the charges, the representative hung up on me. I tried again, spoke to another person for only five minutes before getting disconnected again. Now, I’m facing a loss of almost $400 with no one to assist me. The level of professionalism and customer service was severely lacking, and I will not be using their services again.
This is the most disappointing car rental service I've ever encountered! The operation at the airport is misleading, advertising a low daily rate only to pressure customers into paying hidden fees once they arrive. They insist on purchasing unnecessary insurance for an inflated price, regardless of existing coverage, and if you refuse, they won't provide the vehicle. This is not a legitimate policy; it’s outright deceptive. Additionally, the pickup location is quite far from the airport, a detail they conveniently omit until after the booking is complete. They also require a hefty deposit that is unreasonable. The vehicle lacked basic features, and the handover was a disaster with no one present to assist. The staff displayed rudeness and hostility, seemingly trained to coerce customers into paying extra charges. This service preys on travelers, particularly those who are exhausted and vulnerable upon arrival. If you care about your time, finances, and peace of mind, I strongly advise against using this service. It’s an absolute scam!
Poor service and frustrating experience
Honestly, I wouldn't even rate them with one star. Even though we had our own insurance certificate, they persistently pressured us to purchase their insurance, and the deposit was set at $1000. The young female employee with glasses and permed hair was not only unfriendly but also dismissive, failing to address our inquiries. To make matters worse, when we returned the rental car at 7 AM, they hadn't opened until 8 AM, and our flight was scheduled for 9:40 AM. The 24-hour call center was unresponsive, leaving us extremely frustrated. Three other customers were in the same predicament, trying to return their cars early in the morning. Furthermore, the shuttle service to the airport also began at 8 AM, and the rental staff provided no information to customers. Why operate in this manner without seeking improvements? I strongly advise everyone to avoid this rental car service and suggest better training or replacement for their employees.
This is a complete scam. They presented me with a contract that had blank amounts for potential damages and insisted I sign it without filling in the details. Once I signed, they could write in whatever they wanted. I had already paid a high rental fee, a large deposit, and an insurance fee that offered no coverage. I left and filed fraud claims against them. I also saw two other customers facing the same situation while I was there. Avoid this company at all costs!
This was an absolute scam in a popular tourist destination. They presented a contract with blank spaces for potential damages and insisted I sign it without filling in any details. Once signed, they could write in whatever they wanted. This was after already paying a hefty rental fee, a substantial deposit, and an insurance fee that covered nothing for a small vehicle. I walked out and disputed the charges due to fraud. I noticed two other customers receiving the same treatment while I was there. Stay far away!
