Do not work with YULIA, OR ZIGNIFY under any circumstances!

Yulia or whatever her real name is what we currently believe, is the Saleswoman for this company. BEWARE! she will quote you for a product and promise there will be no extra fees, roughly 7-10k upfront. BUT! by the time the product comes to the port we had already paid another $15,500. It was then stuck in the port, or so she says and then promptly, she is disappeared, not answering and using other "staff" to communicate, this is when we found out, she was the boss. My wife and I have been trying to contact her but she is demanding we pay her $50,000 + a slew of other fees coming to $80,000.

We just cant pay this right now, and now we are out our product and our money as well!

Communication was smooth and reliable at all times. We highly recommend Zignify and look forward to working with them again.

Overall a good experience. Communication is very professional, fast, and transparent. All my questions were answered at any time and I always felt well supported. I especially appreciated that they enabled contact with a manufacturer who is not present on the common trading or sourcing platforms. The support of a translator was also very helpful.

I would generally like to give five stars, however I find the price-performance ratio somewhat critical in relation to the results achieved. We invested a significant amount of money, and especially regarding price negotiations I expected stronger outcomes. As an experienced Key Account Manager / sales professional, one can sometimes achieve similar or even better negotiation results independently. For example, reducing a price only from $12.77 to $12.36 does not, in my view, justify the use of an expensive sourcing agent.

Conclusion: Highly recommended if you need support with manufacturer sourcing and communication. And networking. However, there is room for improvement when it comes to price negotiations.

Everything was handled very professionally, and the team clearly knows what they’re doing.A special thank-you to Abdel, who was extremely helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable throughout the process. He made everything clear and easy to understand.I’m very happy with the results and will definitely be working with Zignify again for product sourcing. Highly recommended!

They excel at billing and pitching more services - but at nothing else

Messy work from the start: Unsuitable mutual supplier NDA, legally critical flaws in revised doc, ambiguous wording/layout. Faulty returned docs (missing company, address, family name, unauthorized persons signed, etc.) were just dumped in a folder, unchecked. As a result, many NDA were legally invalid, not enforceable. Folders and file names were a mess too. Agreed to source in China + a few probes into Indonesia. Seemingly went all-in with Indonesia. Added Vietnam without asking. Great way to bill more hours!I was hoping they'd recommend suppliers they had worked with. Yet, whenever I asked if they did, the answer was no. Like any beginner can do, China suppliers were found via Alibaba and 1688. The rest seemingly through Google (I think they don't have local staff in supplier countries other than China - but they were not transparent on this). Didn't vet properly and suggested some questionable suppliers with no on-site factory inspection reports published on the platforms. One such supplier went silent repeatedly, still no samples after 2.5 months. Money prob. lost.Quotes were consistently higher than those I previously got myself on Alibaba.Suppliers did not match sourcing criteria: I asked for suppliers experienced in similar products, gave examples. Yet, vast majority they provided were general-purpose machining shops (easy to find!). Suppliers' lack of specialization lead to critical issues with product, and may be one reason for the higher quotes.Yulia, the owner, only did the initial call. Never heard from her again, didn't get her contact, project mgr never said "Yulia suggested ...". From what I can tell, she was fully detached from the process. Even when it must have been obvious that I wasn't happy, she did not get involved. Project mgr constantly and sometimes unethically pitched additional services. Ex. 1: Suggested packaging sourcing before decision on product sourcing country (-> unnecessary sourcing cost). Ex. 2: Said I would save money if I let them do sample inspection locally, due to consolidated shipments and other minor stuff. The opposite is true: Costs would have exploded at their rates. Anyway, can't entrust them with sample inspection given their sloppy work.Project mgr in the Philippines always had a hard time understanding what I mean and want, and worrying gaps of knowledge. This lead to a massive communication overhead (all billed at $90/h, of course). Ex.: "Can you check if this person is the company director acc. to business license?" --> "Research done. She is. She signed the NNN." --> "I have the NNN, I asked for business license." --> "Done. She is. She appears on 1688." --> "I asked for business license." I then had to send her an example of a Chinese business license and explain that they can find it in the registry. On third attempt, they got it right. MANY examples like this. An endless series of misunderstandings. No expertise with EU/US material compliance: Asked if they could give me the contacts of a few good packaging suppliers they worked with before. They didn't seem to like the idea. I reluctantly agreed that they obtain quotes instead. They liked that (billable!). Turns out, all 3 I contacted (4th I knew and wasn't happy with) were unable to meet mandatory EU/US requirements (TPCH, Prop65, PPWD, REACH, POP). So they suggest to their clients suppliers that will result in clients running into legal issues! Project mgr was completely blank on this topic, babbled of unrelated CE (electronics) and CPC (seller conduct). Now I also need to check if they really verified this stuff for the product - probably not.Would have been much more efficient to communicate directly with sourcing staff. 90% of the time, project mgr just did message ping-pong between me and them (+introduced errors). Great way to boost hours! All communication text-based in some weird app - no calls ever proposed by them. I could have asked for it, yes. I followed their process. Guess I didn't ask because I had already resigned internally, just waiting to quit. Can't change people's competence in a call. Cost: Product was dead-simple (2 similar parts, same process, single factory, fully specified, no design changes). Yulia: "can't give estimate, avg project takes 30 hrs" (=$US 2700 at 90/h). I aborted when quotes were in, after that a few questions + 4 packaging quotes from suppliers they knew (basic packaging, 100% specified, no changes), rejected all upselling. Total paid until I quit: $5237 (58.2 hrs).Be aware: They will likely try to refute all this and inflate the amount of PERFECT work they did. It's the only response I ever got (never a "sorry, we got this wrong"). Don't believe it. Taking responsibility is not their game. It's underperforming, milking, defense mode.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — No Results After 4 Months

I spent $4,688.28 with Zignify and had nothing to show for it.I started with them on June 24, 2025, and by October 31 I had already reached the amount the owner originally estimated the whole project would cost — yet we still had no clear direction, no aligned suppliers, and no real progress. My product is a multi-component, eco-friendly item with very specific material requirements — something I was upfront about from the start. The owner told me they could likely have everything figured out by December and that the total cost should stay within a certain range. That never happened. Before signing, it was very hard to find real client reviews, and the only person I eventually reached had worked with them on something extremely simple (a journal). Since my product was much more complicated, I relied on Zignify’s sales pitch and promises — but unfortunately, that trust was misplaced.Throughout the project, I had to repeatedly remind the team of the same instructions. Despite clearly stating my required materials multiple times, they kept presenting suppliers suggesting cardboard, wood, or alternate materials I had already rejected. At one point, an internal message even said they wouldn’t tell suppliers the real materials “not to confuse them” and instead wanted to see what materials the supplier would propose — even though I had already said I wasn’t looking for opinions. I needed them to confirm whether suppliers could produce what I actually needed. Some quotes were inconsistent or confusing — including a mold quote that first appeared as ~$30,000 total, then changed to $5,000 per mold, and finally clarified as six molds per size (meaning $30,000 per size and $60,000 total). This only came to light because I questioned it. I constantly had to chase missing details or ask for clarification just to understand what was being quoted.I also had to repeatedly remind them to send a capability checklist before sending files or requesting quotes. It often felt like I was managing their team just to prevent wasted time. Then I paused the project on October 31 due to lack of progress. I then received my October invoice billing issue. They attempted to charge hours I never approved. After I pushed back with timestamps and proof, they eventually corrected it — but only after giving me resistance. Once this was fixed they closed the entire project on their end. Their final message basically said: “Here you go, here’s the supplier list — you can contact them now.”That was supposed to be the job I hired them for. After four months and nearly $5k, all I ended up with was a spreadsheet of suppliers — most of whom couldn’t even meet the requirements I had clearly explained from the beginning. If your project is even slightly complex, I strongly recommend caution.Zignify might work for simple, single-material items or something basic like sourcing notebooks. But for anything technical, multi-component, or requiring real attention to detail, you are far better off hiring a dedicated freelancer(UPWork) — someone transparent, accountable, and actually capable — instead of paying $90/hr for no real outcome.I trusted Zignify because they presented themselves as experts. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the reality.

Reliable and Professional Sourcing Partner

We've had a consistently great experience working with Zignify on our sourcing projects. Our project manager, Christine, has been fantastic. She's communicative, organized, and always willing to help. Her quick responses and attention to detail have made the process smooth and stress-free. Zignify has been professional and easy to work with, and we’d gladly recommend them to others in the industry looking for a reliable sourcing partner.

Hiring Zignify is a big mistake

Hiring Zignify was one of the most frustrating and costly decisions I’ve made as a business owner. What was promised to be a streamlined and efficient sourcing process turned into a drawn-out, confusing, and wildly overpriced mess. From the beginning, communication was poor and full of misunderstandings. The processes were unnecessarily complicated and inefficient—clearly designed to stretch timelines and increase billable hours rather than to deliver results. Every step felt like it was made harder than it needed to be.Despite paying significant fees, I received nothing close to the value promised. I had to constantly chase answers, deal with vague updates, and handle delays that made no sense. When I finally asked for a refund due to the lack of results, they flatly refused, showing zero accountability for their failure.Because of this experience, I’ve been forced to put my entire sourcing plans on hold. Zignify’s inefficiency and mishandling have not only cost me money but valuable time and momentum in my business. If you’re considering using their services—especially as a small business or entrepreneur—think twice. In my experience, they over-promise, under-deliver, and seem far more focused on collecting invoices than delivering results.Use caution and do your research. I would not recommend Zignify to anyone looking for real sourcing support.
