visited St Katherines Dock. Tesco site told us vouchers were good for that restaurant which we downloaded.Having eaten our meal were were told that restaurant had withdrawn from the scheme, given a bill of £102 plus an assumptive tip £10.70 for staff who only did what they were paid to do anyway, and told we should have read the small print. Sneaky to say the least. Wont go again, put a sign up Zizzi so everyone knows.
We all had a great experience at our lunch today. We initially just stopped off for some coffees and drinks but ended up staying for lunch because we were having such a good time. Jodie was our waitress and took care of us all day, no matter what we needed or asked for. She took her time to talk to us, smiling and joking the whole time. I cannot fault the service, she was attentive and a pleasure to be around, and the food and drinks were great too. Would recommend to all. Thank you for taking care of us!
Table booked for 2. The staff were polite and attentive. The food however was another story. I ordered the cheese fondue dish, it arrived, on presentation it looked great, but as I started to bite into the bread it nearly broke my tooth, not wanting to appear rude to my guest, I pretended everything was OK, but then I saw her trying to cut into her bruschetta and she was having real trouble! She said to me ' I can't cut this bread it's so hard!' Obviously the bread was stale... would not recommend Zizzi at all.
The waitress asked how many, 2 we said, she grabbed some menus then immediately walked off. She could be seen ranting at the chef, then at another waiter, then she walked into an office and could be heard ranting some more. Left us there. She finally came back and trotted us to a table.Ordered starter main and side salad. Starter was cold, forked into the salad and deep from within the salad a long black hair was being pulled out with the salad. They just about "bovered" to take it away and get a replacement. replacement that was thrown together. The food was the worst ever served to us in a Zizi. Place is going backwards fast. Pity they used to be the place to go
Visited the Telford restaurant on Saturday. Whilst the food was lovely we were absolutely shocked to see that wine was being poured back into the bottle by a member of staff. When alerting the manager she confirmed that she was aware of this and could confirm the wine had not been touched by other customers. The glasses had been delivered to the table but for some reason we're returned to th bar area. This was raised with Zizzi head office via email who have yet to acknowledge my concerns about cross contamination. As a family of four adults, we shall not be visiting our local or other Zizzi restaurants again and have concerns regarding their practices.
