Good location but bring your own loo roll and outside furniture

The caravans with terrace come without any outside furniture. There is also no chair that can be moved outside to sit on. What’s the point of an outside space that is completely empty? When I asked 1066 the answer was that it is just this way.Also renting a two double bedroom holiday home with two bathroom and just providing 1/2 roll of toilet paper is unnecessarily stingy. Otherwise fine. Clean and convenient location.

Great previously, downhill since.

Great experience booking with 1066 previously - good communication, lovely property, everything as promised. Very different the second time around. Had to move original booking when the second UK lockdown was announced - fair enough. Checked that new dates were still okay when lockdown ended and told they were fine, all going ahead. Less than a week before we were due to travel, the company told me the owner no longer wanted to rent out the property and so the booking would have to be postponed (again) or transferred to a different property. Since my mum, who I was travelling with, is terminally ill, we are not able to postpone this for a third time so I asked to cancel. They then told me I had to make the cancellation via Air BnB, and they would 'override' the reduced refund given when it looks like you have cancelled your trip. They sent a refund then I was called by someone from Air BnB saying they had made a mistake and wanted me to send back the money I had been refunded. I can't believe how badly they have handled this - I was already very disappointed to have our postponed holiday cancelled with less than a week's notice and they have since caused me even more inconvenience. This experience would put me off booking with this company in future.

Booked 11 months in advance only for holiday to be cancelled they didn’t bother to notify us of this, extremely unreliable would not trust them again. Excuse is that owner wants to come then, that being the case then none of their bookings can be secure if owners suddenly decide to come. It’s unprofessional and wrong to let people book a holiday make all their arrangements and there is no holiday

The caravan In Camber Sands was in an amazing condition and very clean. It had everything one would want and more. The whole process was very easy and pleasant.Would not hesitate to recommend... We will be back. Ema

Perfect for a short stay

Perfect for a short stay. Even with terrible rain and mud I had a great time with my one year old! Useful to know that can’t park up close for loading/unloading but wasn’t a big issue.

We had really nice and restful stay :-) The Winchelsea Beach is cosy and convenient place with good facilities. The Holiday Park is well organised place with nice and helpful staff. The area is beautiful and perfect for walks. We definitely recommend! :-)

We were very impressed with the quality…

We were very impressed with the quality of accommodation provided by 1066 Holidays. We are used to booking directly with the park and the caravan we had from this firm was much better, which given there was so much rain worked out well for us! We loved the giant fridge, having a washing machine and the large, well designed, living space. If we had any grumbles I would perhaps say the bed was a little bit lumpy and there was only one pillow each, a couple of spares left under the double bed might have been handy. Overall though if we stay in Kent again we will definitely be using 1066 Holidays again. Thanks for having us.
