DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST!!!! They will scare you and change you almost $1000 for any dings you were not even responsible for! When I picked up the car it was in a “shifty” area. I had to call a local number to get picked up after walking to the round about from the airport (yes they did not even pick you up up front). Then driven somewhere to what seems like a used car lot. By the time I was able to get my car it was dark and when I took a video of the car at the time I picked it up. You could not see all the damage on it. Mind you the car had over 150000 km on it already and was pretty well driven. Dings and all. THEY CHARGED ME FOR A TINY TINY DING that I know I didn’t add because the car was parked in a garage and not on the streets and it had SEVERAL dings even bigger when I picked it up. I could tell I would have issues with them when I picked up the car but it was too late and I was jet lagged from hell to change it.
I traveled to Florida with my family and booked a rental car online through Expedia. The listing stated this was an airport pickup, but upon arrival we were placed on a shuttle and driven to a remote off-site location about 10 minutes from the airport.
Once we arrived at the rental office, we were informed—for the first time—that my insurance was not accepted, despite having over $1 million in liability coverage. At that point, with my family stranded and no practical way back to the airport, I was forced to pay an additional $480 on top of the quoted rental price, plus a $200 deposit that I may not even get back.
This is a classic bait-and-switch: you’re lured in with one price online, then the terms and cost are changed once you’re on site with no realistic alternative except to pay.
The final cost was over $700 for a 4–5 year old Toyota RAV4, which is completely unreasonable. This was a terrible experience, highly misleading, and unacceptable business practice.
I would never recommend this rental car company, and I strongly advise others not to book a car through them or through Expedia if this is the type of vendor they support.
My name is Srdjan Obradovic, I rented a car at the Sarajevo airport with the company ADDCAR from 15 September 2025 to 09 October 2025. A deposit of 1200 euros was taken from me, which has not been returned to me to this day. The girl who took the car told me that everything is fine with the car. What is the problem?
Absolute scam. ADDCar at Marrakech Airport provided the worst rental experience I have ever had, particularly due to an agent named Nabil.Despite having a fully prepaid booking, I was charged an additional £250 on arrival. The agent refused to accept three valid UK credit cards, claiming they were not acceptable because the card numbers were not embossed or engraved. This is completely misleading — UK credit cards now have the numbers printed on the back, which is standard practice. The booking confirmation clearly states that the card details must be printed, with no mention whatsoever of embossed or engraved numbers. Despite this, I was forced to pay extra in order to collect the car. This company appears to be set up to mislead and extract extra money at every step. While the price may look cheap when booking online, you will end up paying far more at the counter.Avoid at all costs if you value your money, time, and peace of mind.
Avoid, Scam. Lower cost till you get there. Tried to charge me 709 for insurance even though I have full coverage with progressive. Refused to let me use my own easy pass and I would have had to pay 20.00 a day for 7 days for the tolls. That's almost 1000. More. Ripoff. Filing scam with CFPB. I walked out, got Uber to budget and rented a car for less than the what they were going to charge for ins.
The rental car supplier at Marrakech airport 'AddCar' tried to cheat me by giving lame excuses that my card isn't going through the deposit payment on their payment device and refused to accept any other credit card for it. I called 'VIPCARS' customer support, who I booked the car online, and they couldn't do anything either as the AddCar guy refused to talk to 'VIPCars' person. I was in open carpark area for 3 hours with my luggage and 12 degree temperature to sort out the issue with them and checked with the bank but there was no issue from bank. The 'AddCar' person was ready to give the car and asked for £250 extra to accept the other credit cardI had. I won't suggest to use 'AddCar' as they definitely seem to rob the customers like this by showing cheap cars while booking and then try to get extra money by keeping declining the credit card for ridiculous reasons. After 2 months of emails and calls with 'VIPCARS' , I spoke to 'VIPCARS' rep. and asked for formal complaint, that's when they paid my money insurance money back. AVOID 'ADDCAR' COMPLETELY, I had the worst ever experience with them
So turned up at 10.30 after spending 10min searching to find desk closed, phoned the number no reply asked the other car rentals where they were they said gone home come back tomorrow! With children under 10 and a wife had to leave in a taxi. Next morning 100euro later in taxis they were there, charged extra 50 euro late pick up ! And 1500 euro deposit which wasn't mentioned And a different car what was ordered! The car had just been returned messy and other personal belongings in it the bloke said sorry and took the stuff. Upon dropping back at 3pm again noone at the desk rang them nothing parked in another bay, greenmotion very nice lady explained how rubbish this firm is. Would never recommend this company nearly 1000euro for 5 days in lapland
