Review Time
I had this system installed 3 weeks ago by the RAC. It came recommended. (note i have had alarm systems before, for many years). The system is not hard wired and therefore the control panel cannot be lit up at all times or at least have some back light. Therefore, in the dark, you are trying to put on a light, so you can see the pad, which when it is going off and you are under pressure is not easy. You can't tell the difference between the ON light and the ON button as they are identical, and I set the alarm off every day for a week until i realised that i was trying to press the wrong buttons or rather part of the pad, there are no buttons. The symbols you are supposed to press make no sense and therefore i have had to pop labels against them so i can recall what is ON, what is night mode and what is disarm. So now the pad looks really tacky. Really unhappy with this product and i am getting it taken out after paying $4,000 to be installed 3 weeks ago. It's cheap rubbish at a premium cost. Buy something else - anything is better.
The Ajax systems are really amazing, and give no false alarms. The only reason why I rated 1 point less, is that there is no unit available that can be mounted at roof level, making their application a little limiting and causing dead areas.
